The Internet's Favorite Lego Sets Are on Sale for Up to 43% Off for the Holidays

As a Lego fan and the mother to a die-hard Brickhead, I am super impressed with the 2023 holiday Lego deals that I’m seeing right now. Typically, Lego has the bulk of their sales right after Thanksgiving, with very little in the way of discounts this close to Christmas, but I’m seeing some great deals from places like Walmart and Kohl’s giving parents the savings they need to make this an extra-special holiday for their kids.

If your kids are fans of the builds, chances are good that they love the Lego Friends line — the more kid-friendly builds designed with a distinctly youthful vibe. Right now, Kohl’s has several of these sets on sale, including the uber-popular Aliya’s Room set for almost 50% off. They also have the ice cream truck police chase on sale, and it’s one of the funniest builds you’ll ever create.

The sales are less plentiful than they were a few weeks ago but don’t worry: I have found the very best Lego deals still available, and I think that you’ll be pleasantly surprised by the amount of choice still out there.

Jurassic World Blue and Beta Velociraptor Capture

I am a gigantic Jurassic Park fan. Alas, this is not a set that goes on sale often, so you better believe I grabbed this deal. It includes Maisie and Rainn Delacourt Jurassic World minifigures, two Velociraptor dinosaurs — Blue and Beta, a red pickup truck, and a bike for you to build.

City Ice Cream Truck Police Chase

It’s just over 300 pieces of “what in the world is happening here?” Who is chasing who? Is the cop car going after the ice cream truck? If so, is it for a lovely soft serve or is the ice cream a front for something more nefarious like counterfeit vegan “ice cream?” (Don't hate me, vegans, I love your dairy-free delectables.)

Friends Aliya’s Room

It’s over 200 pieces of pure tween gold that’s now 43% off at $12. My daughter has two of this exact set just so that her “friends” could have matching houses. I don’t get it, either, but I do know that a bunch of my daughter’s real-life friends have and love this intricate, easy-to-build set.

Classic Medium Creative Brick Box

It’s a huge box of Lego pieces, and it's normally $39.99, but right now it’s only $20.99. This is the best way to get your kids familiar with smaller bricks as they transition away from Duplos. It’s also fab for kids who like more open-ended building.

Technic Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Building Set

If you or your child has never had the utter joy of building a Lego car with a pull-back engine, get ready to have your mind blown. This 544-piece set comes equipped to work with an AR app and it has two pull-down drag race “engines” in the back that allow you to send the car racing away. It’s $10 off right now.

Icons Succulents

In the past few years, Lego has made the most beautiful succulent and floral arrangements that have generally been released around the holidays, and this one is definitely one of my favorites. It’s not just beautiful to look at, but it’s also a complete joy to build. It’s almost meditative the way the floral arrangements are set up.

Disney’s Cinderella and Prince Charming’s Castle

This build looks a lot more intimidating than it is. It’s a great build for kids 10 and up, or for Brickheads like me who love Cinderella, and feel more than a passing acquaintance with her plight in life as you clean up the bathroom for the millionth time.

I promise the 365-piece set is not a chore, though, and a $36 discount? Oh my goodness.

Marvel I am Groot

This is one of Lego’s most popular sets of the past few years, and it’s easy to understand why. It’s a wild 476-piece build with joints and round pieces, but it’s not a difficult build. It’s Groot, he’s a hoot, and such a joy at 20% off.

Icons Bonsai Tree Building Set

The bonsai tree is an iconic set from Lego that has sold out multiple times, so you can guess that it rarely goes on sale. It’s almost 900 pieces, so it’s definitely for teens and adults, but that said, my 12-year-old has done this set and loved it so much that she glued it together, and she never does that. At 20% off, this is the cheapest you’ll see it.

DREAMZzz Crocodile Car

The DREAMZzz line is basically a Lego fever dream, and we love that for us. This one is a customizable set that allows kids much more power over the build to determine which conveyance they should build to fight the nightmare, or maybe join in on the mischief-making.
