The 2022 People's Choice Awards Announce This Year's Host

He's back, baby!
Comedian Kenan Thompson is back, baby! The actor is returning to host the People's Choice Awards this year.
NBC and E! confirmed the news of his return in a press release shared with Parade; the Saturday Night Live regular hosted last year's ceremony, as well.
“I’m beyond excited to host the People’s Choice Awards again this year and celebrate the incredible talent and fans that this show unites,” Thompson said of the announcement.
The Kenan & Kel alum has also received his third nomination at the PCA's this year. In addition to hosting, he's up for the Comedy TV Star category for the sketch series.
“I’m so grateful to be nominated - shoutout to the fans and congrats to all the nominees. Get ready for round two!!” he added. Last year, Thompson said he was "beyond blessed" to be nominated twice—once for The Comedy TV Star of 2021 as well as The Male TV Star of 2021—on his own, plus two nominations for SNL—his first nominations from the awards series.
The full list of nominees will be released later this morning, and this year's event will air simultaneously on NBC and E! on Tuesday, Dec. 6, at 9:00 pm ET/PT.
