Since the quarantine, household essentials like bottled water have become more necessary. But even though the world is going through tough times, you can still keep sustainability in mind by ditching the plastic water bottles entirely.

Water filters have been around for some time, but you can actually get filtered, drinkable water right from your sink. Instead of grabbing a 24-pack of water, you can shop the Brita Faucet Filter System. Ringing in at $79.99 at Home Depot, this electronic filter can save you a lot of money and can replace 750 plastic water bottles.

Helping to reduce 99 percent of lead, the filter features a twist attachment that mounts at the head of your home faucet. With the flip of a switch, you can choose between filtered water for a drink and unfiltered water if you’re, say, washing dishes. Plus, there’s even a spray option to distribute the water. Since the filter is also electronic, it’ll indicate with a red button when the filter needs to be changed.

Almost 400 Home Depot shoppers have reviewed the filter system. It was one shopper’s first water filter and they said it “gives you good tasting clear water.” Another customer who bought it said that the water also looks cleaner as well.

On the other hand, some shoppers weren’t a fan of the size of the filter. One customer wrote “It was a little bulky on the sink” while another claimed it didn’t fit. From reviews, the filter may work best with sinks with more depth since the filter adds more bulk between the faucet and sink. But ultimately, if you’re hoping to skip out on plastic, this filter is a great option.
