If you’re like me, then you’ve probably left your makeup on once or twice — or 50 times. And although it was convenient at the time to skip your skincare routine and go to bed with a full face of makeup, the nasty breakout later wasn’t worth it.

I have since learned my lesson and try never to go to bed with a full face on. So, tired or not, morning or night, I always rally myself to the bathroom to remove my makeup. And since I’ve gotten serious about my skincare in the last couple of years, I’ve become pretty particular about what products I use on my face.

Like countless others, I’ve heard that makeup wipes can cause long-term damage to your skin, which is why I swear by using the Farmacy Green Clean Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm.

The big selling point for me was that it comes from a brand that uses clean formulas in many of their products. And two, the balm “melts” my makeup away without me having to tug at my skin a lot or incredibly drying out my skin — which is the main problem with makeup wipes.

According to the product description, the balm is a “makeup remover and cleanser that melts virtually all makeup, leaving skin hydrated and silky smooth.” In addition, Farmacy’s cleansing balm is listed by Sephora as a clean product. It contains ingredients like sunflower and ginger root oils, turmeric and moringa extract, and papaya enzymes.

And those are some heavy-hitters. For example, the turmeric and moringa extract help “remove impurities, sunscreen residue, and fight the effects of pollution,” while the papaya enzymes help “naturally exfoliate pores.”

But I’m not the only fan of using the balm. The Farmacy Green Clean Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm won Allure’s Best of Beauty Award in 2017. Plus, makeup lovers have also shouted its praises. In fact, it has more than 191,000 loves and more than 3,000 reviews at Sephora, with some shoppers calling it a “holy grail” product.

“This is my holy grail makeup remover,” one reviewer wrote. “With just a small amount, I can remove all types of eye makeup. It leaves my face feeling clean and refreshed. It is definitely worth the money especially since it lasts for about 3 months.”

Another Sephora shopper echoed that sentiment.

“This balm is amazing!” one buyer wrote. “It is a solid balm that turns into an oil consistency when you warm it and massage it onto your skin. You only need a small amount of it because a little goes a long way and it does an amazing job melting away all my makeup without drying my skin. It leaves my skin clean and soft. I use this as a part of my double-cleansing routine.”

Only two things to note: The balm can feel a little greasy and you might want to use a separate cleanser to clean your face. Other than that, if you want a great way to prep your face for the rest of your skincare routine and want a less harsh way to remove makeup, then this Farmacy Green Clean Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm is a great find.
