As we continue to social distance amid the coronavirus pandemic, stars are using social media in increasingly creative ways to keep us entertained and encourage us to stay home.

One of those celebrities is JoJo, who took to TikTok on March 18, to flip the biggest hit of her career on its head, changing the lyrics of “Leave (Get Out)” to a song she called, “Chill (Stay In).”

Clad in a purple workout set and black track jacket, the singer gave herself a beat by knocking her hands on the table as she sang her new lyrics a capella, occasionally looking at her tablet for reminders of the cheeky new words, which are full of pleas to social distance, be hygienic and listen to the CDC.

“I never thought Corona could be such a nasty b*tch. But now that she’s here boy all I want is for you to use common sense,” she sang. “Stay in! Right now! Do it for humanity! I’m dead*ss about that but we will survive. So you gon’ learn how to cook now and practice good hygiene. I know you’re bored and want to f*ck around but not on me.”

“Tell me why you’re acting so confused when the CDC laid it out for you,” JoJo continued singing. “Come on I know you’re not dumb to go behind my back and hit the bar, shows how immature you really are. Keep exposure to a minimum.”

After the revised track went viral both on and off TikTok, the 29-year-old singer took to Twitter to share that she was planning on releasing a full version of “Chill (Stay In)” the next day.

And, boy, did she deliver: The “Too Little Too Late” hitmaker shared the full version on YouTube on Thursday, and the bridge of the song features particularly sexually-charged lyrics that will make you laugh: “I wanted you right here with me, but it’s a f*cking quarantine. And you know I’m horny, but let’s heed the warnings.”

While “Leave (Get Out),” which was originally released in 2004 as the singer’s debut single at the age of 13, has proven to be a timeless hit for JoJo, she continues to release new music, with her latest single, “Man,” hitting streaming platforms last Friday. It’s the first song released from her upcoming third album, “Good to Know,” set to come out on May 1.
