Teacher shows third-graders how to email, gets unexpectedly hilarious messages
A Chicago third-grade teacher, who showed his students how to email so they could learn from home, couldn’t help but be amused when they sent him hilarious messages.
The unnamed teacher took to Twitter last Saturday to share screenshots of the emails he had received throughout the day.
“So we are closing my school for 2 weeks and it’s been really stessful, but the highlight was teaching my 3rd graders how to email so they can email me questions & I got these throughout the day,” the teacher wrote.

One student decided to check in on the teacher, writing, “how are you hope you are ok.” Another sent an email that had nothing but emojis. A third wrote “nothing” in their email’s subject line and simply said “hi” while the fourth decided to ask about the teacher’s chihuahua.
“How is bean doing?” the last student wrote. “Miss you!”

The teacher’s tweet has since gone viral, receiving over 146,000 likes and more than 200 comments from users who couldn’t help but poke fun at the students.

In an interview with Today, the teacher, who wanted to remain anonymous, said he had set up Google Classroom accounts for his students so that he could communicate with them from home.
“I originally showed some friends the emails and they said it was too cute not to share and a breathe of fresh air from all the scary stuff online,” he said. “The response is wild… I’ve seen a lot of people say they want to get into education because of the cuteness of the emails which is so very nice to hear.”
