Hello, high notes.

Singer-songwriter Sam Smith took to Twitter on Feb. 8 to share a video of a student performing “Too Good At Goodbyes” in a store’s electronics section — and the Grammy-award winning artist was nothing short of inspired by the performer’s incredible talent.

In the video, which has since racked up over 11M views and 1M likes on Smith’s Twitter alone, the singer skillfully belts out the 2017 hit at what appears to be a karaoke display in a mall in Bacolod City, Philippines.

“WHO IS THIS KID!!!!!?” Smith captioned the clip. “YOU ARE OUT OF THIS UNIVERSE WHOEVER YOU ARE.”

Kelly Clarkson also took notice of the singer’s impressive pipes, tweeting out that his talent was “insane.”

After the clip went viral, the “kid” in question was quickly identified by Smith’s followers as 20-year-old Carlmalone Montecido, a singer who competed in the Filipino TV talent competition “Tawag ng Tanghalan.”

Philippines-based news site Rappler reports that Montecido, who is blind, appeared on the show between 2016 and 2017 and finished as a runner-up in the competition.

Montecido also has a YouTube channel where he shares videos of his musical stylings with his some 12,300 subscribers.

On Feb. 10, he took to the platform to share another Smith cover, “I’m Not The Only One,” which was also recorded in a department store — although this time, the budding celebrity drew a bit of a crowd, which can be heard cheering him on as he wraps up his performance.
