Billie Eilish condemns 'disrespectful' fan impersonations of her: 'Please stop'

Billie Eilish would like her fans to "please stop" impersonating her, thank you very much.

The 18-year-old "Bad Guy" hitmaker took to her Instagram Story on Thursday urge people to stop pranking others by pretending to be her in public, attempting to put a stop to the YouTube trend of doing so.

Sharing several screenshots of YouTube videos in which creators dress up in her signature neon green-tinted style (green roots, green shots, oversized sunglasses, etc.), Eilish asked her followers to "please stop doing this s**t."

"It is not safe for you and it is mean to the people who don't know any better," she continued. "You make me look bad."

While she seemed pretty serious about her request, Eilish showed that she certainly hasn't lost her beloved sense of humor in another post, sharing a close-up of one of her YouTube impersonators' outfit choices and writing, "also soooo disrespectful that you'd go out pretending to be me wearing THIS," along with two crying laughing emojis.

One of the YouTube stars whose video was seen in Eilish's Instagram Stories, Jordan Matter, took to his Instagram to clear the air on his stunt.

"Hello everyone. You’ve been commenting on the video shoot I did yesterday, and I’d like to respond. I gathered a crowd and had an acrobat pretending to be Billie do a huge cheer flip, which revealed it was not Billie," he captioned a photo of the Billie impersonator being thrown up into the air by fake security guards. "I had absolutely no intention of disrespecting Billie. I’m a big fan, like everyone else."

Eilish condemning the impersonations of her online comes less than a week after she became the youngest ever musical artist to sweep the top four categories at the Grammy Awards (record, song and album of the year, as well as best new artist) on Sunday.
