2018 Winter Olympics: Nigerian Bobsled Team Stars in Under Armour Originals Documentary Series

The Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea are only a few short weeks away (opening ceremonies are Feb. 9, prepare yourself) and we're already trying to figure out who the biggest stars of the Games will be. And while we're of course cheering on all the Team USA athletes, the best thing about the Olympics is seeing elite athletes from all over the world come together and engage in some of the most impressive competition we've ever seen, often making history in the process.

For the women of the Nigerian bobsled team, though, they've made history before the Games even begin. Not only are Seun Adigun, Akuoma Omeoga, and Ngozi Onwumere the first Olympic bobsled athletes for an African country, but they're also the first people to ever represent Nigeria at the Winter Olympics. Which means as they march in this year's Parade of Nations at the opening ceremony, it will be the first time ever that Nigeria's green and white flag is hoisted at the winter event.

In addition to supplying the team's sleek green racing uniforms, Under Armour also followed the women on their path to Pyeongchang. In a new documentary series debuting next week, Under Armours Originals captured behind the scenes of Seun, Akuoma, and Ngozi's journey to the Olympics, from qualifying in Lake Placid, New York to at home with their families, to appearing on Ellen with the woman herself. Their inspiring story is already what Olympic dreams are made of, and we can only imagine that even bigger things are in store as the three women hit the global stage next month.
