Fun Drinking Games with Cards

1. King’s Cup
For this quintessential drinking game with cards, you’ll need a deck of cards, a cup and plenty of beer and alcohol. A separate cup is placed in the middle of a ring of cards facedown and the players sit around it. Players take turns picking a card from the deck, each of which requires a designated action. Here are the rules:
Ace: “Waterfall” Everyone drinks in a domino-effect pattern; the person who picked the card determines the duration of this group-chugging effort.
Two: “You” The player who picks the card chooses a person to drink.
Three: “Me” The player who picks the card takes a drink.
Four: "Floor" The player who picks the card and everyone else playing has to immediately touch the floor. The last person to touch the floor drinks.
Five: “Guys” Whoever identifies as a guy gets to drink.
Six: “Chicks” Whoever identifies as a “chick” or a female gets to drink.
Seven: “Heaven” The player who picks the card puts their hands in the air, as do all other players; the last to raise their hands to Jesus drinks.
Eight: “Pick a Mate” The player picks a friend to drink with them for the rest of the game.
Nine: “Bust a Rhyme” The player picks a word and each player takes a turn saying a word that rhymes with that word. This continues until a player can’t think of a word, and thus has to drink.
Ten: “Categories” Similar to nine, but the person who draws the card picks a category, such as Disney Movies after which each player says a movie until someone can’t think of one. That person drinks.
Jack: “Create a Rule” The player who picks the card has to create a rule that will take effect for the rest of the game. For example, everyone has to speak in accents or say an inspirational speech before they drink.
Queen: “Questions” The player who picked the card asks someone a question. Without answering, that person asks someone else a different question, and then they ask someone else, and so on. When a player answers a question or can’t think of another question to ask, they drink.
King: “Kings Cup” Add your drink to the cup in the center. The person to pull the fourth King loses and has to drink from the cup in the center.
2. Circle of Death
Everyone sits in a circle with their drink. Pick a dealer. Players must refer to the dealer as the “dealer of death,” and if they call the dealer by any other name, they must drink for five seconds. The game begins with the dealer of death distributing the cards clockwise and face up, starting with the player on their left. If a card dealt with a player matches a card on either side of it in number or suit, the card is active. All players with an active card must drink the number of seconds matching the value of the card. For example: if you pull the 7 of hearts you must drink for 7 seconds. The dealer is in charge of counting out the seconds as the cards go around. If the dealer is drinking, they can count the seconds by tapping the table. The game ends when everyone runs out of their drink.
3. Screw the Dealer
For this game, all players sit around a table with their drinks in hand. Everyone is dealt one card. The player with the lowest card is the first dealer, and they collect all cards and shuffle the deck. Next, the dealer asks the player to their left to guess the card on top of the deck. If the guess is correct, the dealer takes four sips. If the guess is wrong, the dealer tells the player “higher” or “lower,” and the player gets a second guess. If the guess is incorrect, the player drinks the difference of their guess and the card. For example: if the card in the dealer’s hand is a 3 and the player guesses a 6, they must take 3 sips of their drink. If the player’s guess is correct, the dealer moves on to the next one. This continues clockwise until the deck is out. If 3 players in a row do not guess correctly on their first or second guesses, the dealer forfeits. The player to their left becomes the new dealer.

4. Assholes and Presidents
In this foul-mouthed drinking game for 4, you'll need cards, beer or mixed drinks, and the titular “Asshole” hat. All cards are ranked lowest to highest, starting with 4. Ace is high. Two is a clear card, meaning, if someone throws down a 2, it clears the table and resets the deck. Three is a wild card, meaning it can be any number except 2. However, if a player throws down 2 cards with the number 3 on them it can burn the deck. Four of any card can also clear the round. In the first round, the dealer distributes all cards except the joker. The player with the 4 of clubs or the 3 of hearts begins the game by placing that card in the middle. The second player is whoever can produce a card higher than the first card placed in the middle. This continues until no one can produce a higher card. The first person to put all of their cards in the middle gets to be the president in the next round.
The last person to get rid of their cards is the asshole, and they have to wear the asshole hat (so make sure you get creative!). The person who places second is the vice president. In the second round, the president starts the second round by placing a card of their choosing in the middle. The president can first trade their worst cards for the asshole’s best cards. The president can also make the asshole drink at any time. Also, the vice president can make any player drink except the president. The president should also never have to pour their own drink.
5. Beeramid
The dealer makes a pyramid of cards face down on a table. The bottom row has 7 cards, and the next has 6, and so on, until you have 1 card on top. The remaining cards are distributed evenly among the players. Each player has 10 seconds to look at and remember their cards. The dealer turns over the first card of the pyramid, starting with the bottom row, and calls out the card. Any player who claims to have that card can tell another player to drink. The player who is told to drink can either drink or call their opponent’s bluff. If that player calls “bullshit,” their opponent must reveal the card in question. If the player doesn’t have the card and was indeed lying, they must drink twice. If the player does have the card and was telling the truth, the victim drinks twice.

6. Drink-a-palooza ($30 amazon.com)
Bring back some hazy college memories with the board game that calls itself “ultimate drinking board game.” In Drink-a-palooza, the board is laid out in a grid (like you would see in Monopoly or The Game of Life), with a spot in the middle of the board hosting a Solo cup. Each player rolls the dice to move around the edge of the board and follow the directions of whatever space they land on. The game’s main objective is to be the first player to collect a six-pack of mini-bottles, which you do by landing on “bottle” spaces and completing the drinking tasks like doing a round of beer pong or flip cup. If you complete the challenge, you get a mini-bottle.

This game is to make any beer lover very hoppy. To play Beeropoly, players roll dice and move around the spaces on the outside of the board that has directions like “Pour A Drink Into The Community Cup” and “Waterfall”.
8. Drunk Jenga ($10 amazon.com)
You’ll have to do a little DIY for this ultimate party drinking game. Before you stack the blocks in their signature tower, pull out a permanent marker (you can use different colors if you’d like) and write drinking-related dares and challenges for players to complete. Examples are: “girls drink”, “take a shot”, or “call Pizza Hut and order pork fried rice or take 2 shots.” Each player takes a turn pulling out a block and follows the command on it; the person who eventually makes the tower fall down has to finish their drink.

Forget your troubles and get ready for a rough morning with Pass Out! To play, players roll dice and move around the board, which is set up with squares that each have a directive for either the individual player or the whole group. The squares all have different colors and the central part of the board is also divided into 4 zones with different primary colors as well. So, if you land on a green square that says “Take a Drink,” anyone in the green zone of the board has to drink too. Unlike Monopoly, every time you pass “Start” instead of $200 you have to pick a Pink Elephant, which has a tongue twister. You need to recite the tongue twister 3 times (which will get more difficult as the game progresses) in order to keep it. The first player to collect 10 Pink Elephant cards wins!

11. Disney Trivia Game
The rules to this fun drinking trivia game are simple, get the question right and you're safe. Get the question wrong, and take a drink. Compile a list of Disney movie trivia questions and have one person be the quizmaster. After each question is read, have every player place their hand in the middle. The person who puts their hand down first has a chance to answer the question. If they get it wrong, they have to drink and another person can steal their spot. You can ask easy questions like “Who was Simba’s father?” or pick harder questions like; “What was Cinderella’s stepmother’s first name?”
12. Movie & TV Trivia Game
The rules are similar to the ones above. The person who puts their hand down in the middle first after a question is read has a chance to answer the question. If they get it wrong, they have to drink and another person can steal their spot.
