In order to find the best furniture brands to buy now, we talked to over a dozen interior designers (Garcia among them), and considered a variety of styles that appealed to men (think: midcentury modern, farmhouse, minimalist etc.). So whether you're looking to overhaul your bachelor pad or simply want to make your home a little more cozy, these 25 best furniture brands will improve any room.

Saatva

By know, you know Saatva makes some of the best mattresses in the market (see: its countless Sleep Awards), and now, the direct-to-order sleep brand is diving into furniture. We're happy to report that the results are just as fantastic as its marquee bedding products. All of Saatva's bed frames, benches, and accent chairs are assembled in America, feature sustainably sourced wood, and hold up after years of use. Its Santorini bed frame in particular, is a standout product.

In testing the sleep brand's bed frames, our editors found that they have an extremely sturdy build that can hold the brand's over-100 pound mattress with ease. And while yes, Saatva's frames are pretty expensive at over $1,400, we found that the premium construction, great looks, and its cozy upholstered fabric justify its price point. Better still, Saatva's bedroom furniture fall under the brand's 365-night home trial, meaning, if you don't love it within a year of buying it, Saatva will pick it up and issue a full refund (you'll have to pay a $99 processing fee).

The newer additions round out a bedroom right -- items like ottomans, swivel chairs, and textured rugs. The aesthetic is decidedly clean and luxe, with softer tones that really amplify natural light. Floyd Home

A few of our editors own Floyd's IG-famous wares, from the Platform Bed to the Bookshelf. What they all have in common: modular, easy to assemble (much moreso than your typical Ikea), and look great with a wide variety of decor styles. Though we did find that unlike other furniture brands on the last, most of Floyd's furniture does not have free shipping (it's approximately 12 percent of your order), but after a year of hands-on testing some of Floyd's bestselling furniture, our editors found the shipping costs didn't take away from the brand's many pros.

Floyd also appeals to those who like to change things up often, or reinvent their sacred space. From dressers to bed frames, so much of the brand's work can be customized as you see fit. That means reconfiguring your piece when you feel the need, as opposed to buying something entirely new. With spring cleaning right around that corner, that's a good trait for a furniture brand to have.

Castlery

Gray Space Interiors'Rasheeda Gray gives top marks to this Singaporean startup for its price, delivery speed, and variety. "The turnaround time of four to six to six weeks is amazing, especially with the current delivery delays across the industry," Gray says. "The semi-custom options available for the fabric and leg colors offer lots of on trend options... The value is exceptional for the quality."

In terms of quality, our editors found that Castlery's coffee tables and couches have a sturdier build compared to similarly-priced labels. They also loved Castlery's TV stands, which are made of hefty wood that's rendered in sleek, minimalist designs that just look amazing. Yes, this is more expensive than most entry-level furniture brands out there, but work the splurge.

Organic is the name of Castlery's design game. The woodsy designs offer a natural feel, whether its a wicker seat or teak dining table. The pieces seem plucked right from the outdoors, while still incredibly modern and refined. The brand is also behind some of the best outdoor furniture around, built to last and making your deck or patio feel like a contemporary rooftop lounge.

Novogratz

After testing Novogratz furniture for a year, our editors found that it did not hold up as well as more premium furniture brands. One editor found that the legs on the accent chair he ordered became wobbly, and ultimately had to replace it. Still, if you're looking for a cheap, no-nonsense furniture to stock up your starter home with, Novogratz has your needs covered.

With a number of smaller pieces exuding lots of character and color, Novogratz is a great option for the apartment dweller or flat resider. There's a playfulness too, which should appeal to the more eclectic dudes out there. Just ask the radiant locker-inspired storage cabinet or the Bushwick Ladder Desk. And while its marquee sectionals get the most attention, we also like its stylish, functional accent chairs you'll actually want to spend hours in.

We love that Interior Define stands by the quality of its wares, as evident by its 10-year warranty, which covers manufacturer's defects on the frame and suspension system in sofas and chairs. And while we've only been able to test Interior Define's furniture for just over a year, we can attest to the brand's solid construction, and believe that each piece is made to last a long time.

There's a minimalism and restraint to a lot of Interior Define's pieces, which is often just plan cool. Living room stars like the modular armless sofa capture the space in subtle ways (and without extra unneeded features that might eat up extra space). If you want sophistication without spending days on end scouring second hand stores, this is where it's at.

Burrow

Founded in 2016, this millennial-friendly home brand is now one of the bestselling online furniture retailers. Count Men's Health editors as one of many happy customers. "Simple and stylish, they're an affordable way to elevate any living room, without the worry of getting stuck along the way," says one editor of Burrow's marquee modular sofa. We also love its new line of bedroom furnishings.

The couches offer a little extra in the puffy department, making them all the cozier and more inviting. The chairs and tables are inspired by the best of the midcentury modern movement and the storage items are creating a deserved following. The Index and Cannon collections are geometric wonders that do well mounted or standing up, making would-be clutter into display-worthy material.

Ralph Lauren Home

One of our favorite menswear brands, Ralph Lauren also creates bespoke, All-Americana furniture that will never go out of style. "When designing for a bachelor, this is one of the first places I go to," says Chicago-based designer Suzanne Falk. "I love their broken-in leather sofas."

It's the kind of stuff that can turn a man cave into a study, allowing you to party in style. There's a bit of New England charm to a lot of the accent furniture and items like the Hudson St. Lounge Chair appear pulled from the set of Mad Men. Detail-oriented dudes will love the extra effort on display, from shiny ferrules to slick handles and textured columns.

Anthropologie

Looking beyond simple, modular designs? Anthropologie has you covered with its boho-inspired furnishings that bring an earthy, rustic vibe to any room (without looking out of place). We especially like its IG-worthy accent chairs that make for conversation starters among guests. Sure, Anthropologie is a bit pricier than direct-to-consumer brands, but we'd say it's worth the investment.

The brand expertly employs material like corduroy and velvet and loves to incorporate movement and shapes into its esteemed work. Be it a wavy bookshelf, cloud-like bed frame or slipcover dining room chair that looks like its wearing a fash dress, Anthropologie loves some wow factor.

Great for Industrial homes, BDI has a wide selection of sleek and modern furnishings. "They really hit the trifecta of design, durability, and functionality," Garcia says. There's a sharpness to the bedroom furniture and the ladder shelf systems look effortlessly cool and barely eat up any precious real estate. Angular and commanding, it's the kind of furniture that shows your guests that you mean business.

Outer

This outdoor furniture brand has been popping up on TikTok feeds, and it's not hard to see why. Fans love its modular design that looks dope in anyone's backyard. We found that its wicker outdoor sofa is as sturdy as it is stylish, and can hold up to rain, sleet, and snow during shoulder seasons.

These days, the brand offers everything from fire pits to dining sets. The chaise lounges can make your deck feel like a resort come summer and the sets inject a nice theme to a space that might be in need of some matching. There's a low profile to a lot of the outdoor furniture, which makes sense as you'll really want to lean into the comfort as the sun bakes you in warming light.

Vaughan-Bassett

One of the oldest brands on our list, Vaughan-Bassett offers big, sturdy, farmhouse-style furniture that will last a lifetime. Vaughan-Bassett's cabinets are made with real wood (rare these days) and its bed frames hold up after years of use.

It's a great option as that pastoral aesthetic is still one we covet. There's a breeziness to the lineup, inspired by those all those great open and uncrowded spaces. The furniture is handmade here in the states and the brand claims that it replaces every tree it uses in the process. Working with a number of different grains and veneers, there's something for every palate.

Thuma

Most platform bed frames require tons of tools and assembly. Not so with with Thuma, which you've probably seen on Instagram. Its platform bed can be put together with your bare hands in less than 15 minutes. Plus, it's sustainably made with recycled rubberwood. "It's high enough off the ground to provide plenty of storage underneath, while still maintaining a low profile," says contractor Thomas Vibe. "It's a beautiful piece of furniture."

In addition to bed frames, the brand is behind sleek dressers, bedside tables and storage systems. The individual compartments almost blend into one, with hidden handles to keep with the deceptive and minimalistic design. And there's always a good trade off at play between things you want to keep hidden (clothing) and items you don't mind on display (pillows, vases, vinyl records).

Villa Outdoors

Launched last year, this new outdoor furniture line is sleek and weather-resistant with a middle-of-the-road price point that offers plenty of value. Our favorite piece from the collection: This outdoor sectional with a eco-friendly fabric that's resistant to stains and fading.

One might think too much gloss and shine with aluminum frames but the rustproof designs are quite matte and blend in with the surroundings. Sets are extremely customizable, making them great for any number of backyard templates. The all-weather wicker throws a little texture in the mix, offering a homespun feel that's extra nice when you'e out there enjoying all of those natural elements.

Kardiel

A favorite brand of Snoop Dogg's (yes, really), Kardiel makes mid-century modern pieces that happen to look amazing, and you don't need a platinum-selling-rapper's bank account to afford it. Most pieces are made with real wool, incredibly durable and easy to assemble. While Kardiel is mostly known for its living room furniture, we happen to love its dining pieces, particularly its stylish benches and buffets that look purpose built for grown men who like to host dinner parties.

Go small with a fabric rocking chair to enhance your reading area or go colossal with a nearly-20-foot chaise fabric sofa in the shape of a crescent moon. The sofas tout some of the coolest arm rests and color options while the credenzas and sideboards remind of the days when everybody got together to spin some tunes and sip on something classy like a Martini.

Sabai

Sabai's direct-to-order wares are sustainably sourced from natural fibers and recycled water bottles (yes, really). And while reviewers found that its sofas usually give in a bit after a few years of use, Sabai offers affordable replacement options for its cushions.

In this day and age, sustainability should always be front and center and that's a major reason why these guys made the grade. But we also appreciate a great sectional and the perfectly-sized loveseats it's producing. The somewhat straightforward nature of the design can be amplified with something as simple as a good blanket or throw pillow.

Mid-century modern furniture can look a little redundant, but Blu Dot keeps its pieces fresh with unexpected colors and patterns. "Blu Dot is in a league of its own," says designer Megan Hoop. "The quality of the pieces of themselves meet an incredibly high standard. Everything from the comfort of an armchair to the perfect walnut stain, Blue Dot gets it just right."

Those details add up, especially when you're dealing in a style that seemingly everybody else is. There's a familiarity to the catalogue, but a freshness too -- classic ideas tweaked in just the right ways. The mesh lounge chairs, elegant floor lamps and clever side tables improve common areas upon arrival. And don't overlook the outdoor furniture or bedroom items, sleepers in an action-packed and modish portfolio that's very much worth your time.

If you're looking for the ultimate backyard furniture upgrade, look no further than Modloft. Sure, the Miami label makes plenty of gorgeous, modern end tables, desks, and sofas, but its luxe outdoor sofas are some of the best-looking patio furnishings we've seen.

That kind of easy-to-put-together style is a major selling point for our editors. They're also drawn to the captivating design elements, whether it's in the form of a shapely side chair or a wood bench complete with a series of tube-like pillows. You can tell a lot of thought went into the blueprints for these pieces and the payoff happens when they enter your dwelling, becoming instant fixtures.

Serena & Lily

Serena & Lily is all about relaxed, coastal vibes. Customers love its warm, wicker furniture and calming patterns that brighten up any space. It's a go-to brand for designer David Shade.

If you're after that carefree, surfy demeanor, this is your brand. Where you're looking for farmhouse bar stools or tufted sectionals, Frontgate's got it all. We especially love its dining room consoles, which come in plenty of sizes, finishes, and price points to meet anyone's design needs.

The brand is so popular that many things get mistaken for touting that Ikea look, but that's what you want as a leader in the field—mimicry. The planning tools are great, allowing you to see beforehand what bigger projects especially might look like. And the many hacks you can pull off (just TikTok that) are amazing and offer a personal touch to some already great furniture.
