20,000 Lb Of Pre-Packaged Salad Bowls Are Being Pulled From Shelves At Kroger In 12 States

Around 20,000 pounds of salad products sold at Kroger have been recalled by Taylor Farms Pacific, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced on March 13.

These apple walnut with chicken salad bowls were recalled due to the fact that the labels fail to declare wheat, which means they could be detrimental to the health and safety of consumers with wheat allergies. Apple walnut with chicken salad bowls recalled from Kroger

Taylor Farms Pacific is recalling 19,976 pounds of ready-to-eat (RTE) apple walnut with chicken salad bowl products that were sold at Kroger locations in 12 states due to failure to declare wheat as an allergen. The recalled products were sold in Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.

According to the FSIS, effected salads were produced from Feb. 28, 2024 through March 9, 2024 and have lot codes of TFPM059B41, TFPM060B41, TFPM061A41, TFPM062A41, TFPM063B41, TFPM064A41, TFPM064B41, TFPM065A41, TFPM066A41, TFPM067A41, TFPM068A41, TFPM069B42, and TFPM071A41. Use-by dates range range from 03/12/24 to 03/22/24.

If you bought one of these salads, the FSIS urges you to throw them away or return them to the place of purchase for a refund.

Luckily, no adverse reactions stemming from these products have been reported at this time. However, it's important to take recalls like this seriously, especially if you or someone in your household has a food allergy.
