This 2-Year-Old Boy Refuses to Go Anywhere Without His BFF—Who's Actually a 5-Foot Skeleton

This story about a little boy and his favorite pal is truly boo-tiful.

If you needed a pick-me-up, look no further than sweet 2-year-old Theo and his newfound BFF, Benny. You may notice that Benny looks, well, a little different than other toddlers Theo’s age. That’s because Benny is a skeleton, and oh my goodness these videos of the pair together are about to melt your heart.

As his mother Abigail explained, Theo first found his undead friend when she was in the basement cleaning up after a water heater leak. Theo somehow came across the Halloween decoration, and decided it needed to join on their mother-son trip to a local reservoir in Utah.

“When we got to the reservoir he refused, refused to get out of the car. I couldn’t do anything to get him out of the car,” Abigail said on Instagram. “So I was like, okay whatever. We’re just going to bring the skeleton with us, who cares what people think. It’s going to be fun. So ever since that experience, my son has been carrying a 5-foot skeleton everywhere.”

And she really means everywhere. The beach, the park, the grocery store, the gas station—he even reads Benny bedtime stories!

What’s Benny’s favorite Halloween movie, you might ask? The Nightmare Before Christmas, obviously. What’s his favorite Halloween costume? From the looks of their recent photoshoot, a ghost is topping the list. It’s honestly the purest thing you will ever see.
