2 Chainz Proposed (Again) This Time on the Met Gala Red Carpet: See Her Engagement Ring
He certainly owned that red carpet… again! Right in the middle of the fanfare, the lights, and the glorious fashion presented on the Met Gala 2018 red carpet, one attendee decided it was the appropriate time on Monday, May 7, to propose–but it wasn’t his first time doing it.
Rapper 2 Chainz dropped down to one knee right outside of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and proposed to his longtime love, Kesha Ward, as cameras captured the proposal all around the couple. While 2 Chainz (nee Tauheed Epps) claimed the moment was spontaneous, the “Proud” rapper and Ward have been down this road previously back in 2013 at the BET Awards.
The couple never made their marriage official, but they remained in a devoted relationship sharing three kids, Heaven, Harmony and Halo. Therefore, Monday’s proposal was a rather emotional one for both parties involved.

A delighted Ward was photographed with her hand over her mouth as the “We Own It” hitmaker looked up at her with the ring in hand–on the steps of the famed museum. She later adoringly flashed the new jewel for photographers to capture inside the venue.
Both the future bride and groom were dressed appropriately for the fashion fete in custom Versace pieces. The rapper popped the question to his longtime life partner with a dazzling, large diamond set on a gold band.
