Anytime I visit Trader Joe’s, I make a beeline for the new product displays. The fan-favorite grocery store puts out so many new and inventive products that there are always at least a few new items for me to check out. More often than not, I toss a few into my cart, sharing them with my husband and neighbors.

Safe to say, I try a lot of new TJ’s items. Some I like but don’t end up buying regularly, a few I don’t care for, and precious few go onto my “buy pretty much every time I go” list. These are the super special TJ’s products that I cannot get enough of and can’t seem to keep stocked at home. They’re the products that bring a tear to my eye when Trader Joe’s takes them off the shelves, even if it’s just for the season.

During my usual rounds in February, a couple of new items made it onto my must-buy list. Here’s hoping TJ’s keeps them around—try them while you can!

Trader Joe’s Piquant Popcorn ($2.99)

I love popcorn, and TJ’s herb popcorn is a favorite of mine. I also happen to love nutritional yeast, which adds a magical cheesy umami flavor to everything it touches. So when I saw this new Piquant Popcorn during a recent visit, I was pumped. So pumped that I bought two bags (just $2.99 each!), quickly ate both of them and restocked before the month was out.

If you’re not so sure about nutritional yeast, I implore you to give this popcorn a try. Everyone I fed it to loved the savory, slightly cheesy flavor, cheese and non-cheese eaters alike. It’s not too salty and perfectly balanced, with a light-as-air texture. The ingredient list is nice and short, too, so you can feel good about doling it out to kiddos who are old enough to handle popcorn.

This is decidedly not a seasonal item, so here’s to hoping Trader Joe’s keeps it around. I’m doing my part to support it by buying a stupid amount of popcorn every time I go.

Trader Joe’s Calamansi & Mango Sorbet ($3.79)

Calamansi is a citrus fruit native to the Philippines. The little fruits have a zesty flavor somewhere between lime and orange, and I love it. They pair perfectly with mango in this new Calamansi & Mango Sorbet. Just tart enough, just sweet enough, and with a light and refreshing texture, there’s no better end to a meal. It’s a perfect palate cleanser.

I’ve mostly enjoyed this sorbet as-is (I recommend letting it sit on the counter for five to 10 minutes before scooping), but it would be delicious in a float with a lemon-lime soda or topped with some crispy coconut granola or even a drizzle of sweetened condensed milk.

TJ’s new sorbet seems to be limited time, so snag the bright orange pints while you can!
