The day was July 30, 2017. The sun was hot. The earth was a sphere. We were all just being people, doing our thing. Suddenly, as if from the ether itself, an Instagram post pinged into existence. Do you remember? Can you peer through the gauze of time and see?

"I love this woman and her curvy body," it began. It was a photograph of Robbie Tripp, First of His Name (Who Has Gone Viral), and his wife, Sarah Tripp (whom he once referred to as "a sacred vessel carrying my seed" and "a pure fertile goddess"). It continued:

As a teenager, I was often teased by my friends for my attraction to girls on the thicker side, ones who were shorter and curvier, girls that the average (basic) bro might refer to as “chubby” or even “fat.” Then, as I became a man and started to educate myself on issues such as feminism and how the media marginalizes women by portraying a very narrow and very specific standard of beauty (thin, tall, lean) I realized how many men have bought into that lie. For me, there is nothing sexier than this woman right here: thick thighs, big booty, cute little side roll, etc. Her shape and size won't be the one featured on the cover of Cosmopolitan but it's the one featured in my life and in my heart. There's nothing sexier to me than a woman who is both curvy and confident; this gorgeous girl I married fills out every inch of her jeans and is still the most beautiful one in the room. Guys, rethink what society has told you that you should desire. A real woman is not a porn star or a bikini mannequin or a movie character. She's real. She has beautiful stretch marks on her hips and cute little dimples on her booty. Girls, don't ever fool yourself by thinking you have to fit a certain mold to be loved and appreciated. There is a guy out there who is going to celebrate you for exactly who you are, someone who will love you like I love my Sarah.

Now, Tripp has released a summer bop, a warm-weather thingy that revisits his most beloved subject matter: curvy wives and being a man who loves them. There is also a music video that you can watch, if you so desire. (You may very well not desire.) The song is euphoniously titled "Chubby Sexy." Wow! What a concept. The song? It is a Memorial Day barbecue jam. It is a special experience. It is a rap so white Clorox is putting it in a commercial.

Watching this video is not a neutral experience. We had a lot of questions while watching it. Our brains have melted, and may never fully recover. Will you watch it with us? Please? It's too strange to do alone.

  • Is this..............a rap.............................?

  • Did he just say "chubby yummy"??????

  • Does Robbie Tripp think he invented the phrase "we out here"?

  • Does he still think he is special for being attracted to curvy women?!!!

  • How did it take only 26 seconds for him to say "curvalicious"?

  • How many times do I need to watch the Shrill pool party to feel better?

  • Was that a CHAFING THIGHS REFERENCE?

  • Can I take a break? This feels like too much.

  • Why the tight shot on the Louis Vuitton sneakers?

  • How much did these other models get paid and what would even be enough?

  • Why does she pour Kool-Aid on herself? That seems really sticky.

  • Who has literally ever said "A chubby girl? That's risky."

  • WHY DOES HE SAY SHE IS BUILT LIKE BIG BEN AND WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?

  • Did NOBODY object to "bonita gordita"?

  • Why is he reading Women's Day?

  • Did he say Khaleesi curves? Does Khaleesi have curves?

  • "Plump..................sweetie"?

  • Do mermaids have thighs? I don't think they do?
