In 1999, the world fell in love with Heath Ledger as bad boy Patrick in 10 Things I Hate About You. The beloved '90s movie was loosely based on William Shakespeare's comedy, The Taming of the Shrew, and tells the story of a high schooler named Cameron who desperately wants to date Bianca. The problem? Bianca can only date someone if her "heinous b*tch" older sister, Kat, also has a boyfriend. To get around this hiccup, Cameron hires the school's outsider, Patrick, to seduce Kat. The movie is a classic, and if for some reason you've never seen it before (or just want to rewatch it for the millionth time), it's streaming on Disney+.
But if you're hoping to recreate the joy you felt the first time you watched it, check out these movies that are similar, whether it's through plot, cast, or Shakespearian origin. From She's the Man to O to Easy A, here are movies to watch if you love 10 Things I Hate About You.

After meeting a girl online, Ian drives across the country with his buddies to meet her and hook up.
She's the Man (2006)
Like 10 Things I Hate About You, She's the Man is also loosely based on a Shakespeare play: Twelfth Night.
When her school's girls' soccer team gets cut and she's not allowed to try out for the boys' team, Viola pretends to be her twin brother at a rival school so she can compete against them in a big game. Things get awkward, however, when she begins to catch feelings for her brother's roommate, and also when someone else starts crushing on her fake persona.

O (2001)

Like with O, Andrew Keegan also stars in this movie about a group of gay men living in Hollywood, exploring the trials and tribulations of their love lives and friendships.

Scream 2 (1997)
OK, hear us out. You know that scene in 10 Things I Hate About You when Patrick sings to Kat in front of half of the school? Well, there's a similar scene in Scream 2, but instead of singing "Can't Take My Eyes off You" by Frankie Valli, the guy sings "I Think I Love You" by The Partridge Family.
