Bella Swan may have chosen Edward Cullen over Jacob Black in Twilight, but IMO, werewolves are seriously underrated. (#TeamJacob peeps, WYA?) First of all, werewolves are basically dogs. They’re furry and cuddly (when they're not trying to kill you), and they’re also guaranteed to be into astrology since their entire deal is that they’re controlled by the full moon! And yet, for all their advantages, werewolves are seriously lacking in representation. There is no shortage of good vampire movies or vampire TV shows, but werewolf media is a bit more rare, and it’s frankly offensive to those who prefer furry beasts to the undead. Taylor Lautner did not work overtime to make werewolves hot in Twilight for his kind to be treated like this! There’s only one way to make this right: give the best werewolf movies the love and respect they deserve.
We all know werewolves only come out during the full moon, but you don’t have to limit your love of creatures to one night a month. Werewolf shows and movies of all genres, from high school comedy to horror, are available to watch regardless of what moon phase we’re in.
