Here's what they had to say: 1. First, Oscar Isaac as En Sabah Nur in X-Men: Apocalypse "One of our finest actors playing an iconic villain, let's bury him under makeup, make him unintelligible, and saddle him with a weak script."

20th Century Fox / Via youtube.com 2. Tom Hanks as Tom Parker in Elvis "It was just not good all the way around in a pretty good movie."
—Jeremy O
Warner Bros / courtesy Everett Collection 3. Keanu Reeves as Jonathan Harker in Dracula "I know this performance always gets flak, and I absolutely love him, but he has such a distinct voice and cadence that it seems impossible to add an accent onto it and have it sound authentic. I think he also just has one of those faces that doesn't really look like it belongs in the 1800s."
—charlieraines
Columbia Pictures / Via youtube.com 4. Rachel McAdams and Eric Bana as Clare and Henry in The Time Traveler’s Wife "I was so excited...then I actually watched the movie… Neither of them had the usual energy they brought to a movie. They didn’t have much chemistry either. I still like both actors, but I only saw the movie once."
—ffcavitt
New Line Cinema / courtesy Everett Collection 5. Rachel McAdams, Colin Farrell, and Vince Vaughn as Ani, Ray, and Frank in True Detective Season 2 "The first season was so good, and with these actors I expected great things. The whole season was a confusing mess. Plus the tone of the show was too dark. I still cannot tell you what the plot was."
—brianm76
HBO / Via youtube.com , HBO / Via youtube.com 6. Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia Addams in Wednesday "She looked great, but the performance felt really mediocre."
—rachelc43
Netflix / courtesy Everett Collection 7. Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice "I thought he had the potential and possibly still has the potential to be a great Lex Luthor. But he has to lose that bizarre stuttering mumbling moaning hyper coked out Elon Musk-ish performance that he hit us over the head with in Dawn of Justice ."
—icallbullzhit
Warner Bros. / courtesy Everett Collection 8. Ben Platt as Evan Hansen in Dear Evan Hansen "He was INCREDIBLE playing the role on stage and SO deserving of his Tony, so when it was announced that he'd be playing Evan in the movie, I was really excited. I even held out hope through the initial online hate, but every trick they tried to 'age him down' actually just made him look older, and his performance just didn't translate to the screen."
—Bailey
Universal / courtesy Everett Collection 9. Ben Whishaw as Michael Banks in Mary Poppins Returns "I was so excited, since he's my favorite actor and the original Mary Poppins was one of my favorite childhood films — only to watch it and realize that, not only was he barely in it, the whole movie was just disappointing and bad."
—maysmordred
Disney / courtesy Everett Collection 10. Kristen Stewart as Bella Swan in Twilight "I heard a rumor that she was cast in the role of Bella because she was so forgettable and bland in her acting that it made it easier for the viewer to imagine themselves in her place...ouch."
—igotbangzs
Summit Entertainment / Via youtube.com 11. Steven Yeun as Ricky "Jupe" Park in Nope "From the trailers, it looked like he was going to be a major part of it. And to be fair, he was almost solely the catalyst to the plot. But once his character was killed by the alien, the rest of the movie, to me, was a HUGE disappointment. I guess I just wish he got more screen time and didn’t die in the first 35ish minutes."

Universal Pictures / courtesy Everett Collection 12. Machine Gun Kelly as Cal in The Last Son "God that movie was underwhelming lol. Still love him."
—amiwe73
Redbox Entertainment / Courtesy Everett Collection 13. Johnny Depp as Sweeney Todd in Sweeney Todd "I knew most of the cast couldn't sing but I thought he could. Turns out nah."
—GuyIncognito
DreamWorks / courtesy Everett Collection 14. Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool in X-Men Origins: Wolverine "The whole thing was a cringey disappointment, but Origins!Pool was The Worst. Thank goodness Ryan got his reboot/redemption."
—Hannatude
20th Century Fox / courtesy Everett Collection 15. Sandra Bullock and Hugh Grant as Lucy and George in Two Weeks Notice "I was (and still am) a big fan of both of theirs so I was stoked for them to be in something together, but IMO, there was no real chemistry. The overall plot of the movie didn't really do anything for me either."
—EddieTheeMunson
Warner Bros. / courtesy Everett Collection 16. Ginnifer Goodwin and Jennifer Morrison as Mary/Snow White and Emma Swan in Once Upon a Time "I watched the first season, and while I didn’t hate it, I just could never get above ambivalence for it. And I love fairy tales! It should have been my favorite show, but I just didn’t care."
—MrsTRWR
ABC / courtesy Everett Collection 17. And finally, Christopher Eccleston as Malekith in Thor: The Dark World "I loved him so much in Doctor Who and was really excited to see him play a villain and get some wider recognition…and then they buried his face in makeup and prosthetics and gave him like four lines. The whole film was a disappointment anyway, but the total waste of a really talented actor was the worst part for me."
