When it comes to Instagram makeup, Gen Z never ceases to amaze us, whether it be with their ingenious ideas, their otherworldly skills — or both. Remember all of the incredible prom looks teens created on TikTok? Or the high schooler who came up with the coolest eye makeup inspired by Silly Bandz? I rest my case.

Now, yet another teenage makeup artist by the name of Tiaynna McClyde is blowing our minds with her creativity in the beauty space. Get this: The 16-year-old has been making rhinestone-studded glasses by hand to accompany some of her beauty looks, and she uses paper clips, of all things, as her main material. Talk about going above and beyond, folks.

Allure had the opportunity to talk to McClyde about what inspired her to start making glasses, and as it turns out, she's been a fan of creating her own accessories for quite some time now. "Originally, I used to wear paper clip earrings, necklaces, nails, etc. — I loved the style and [had] a whole tub of different-sized paper clips on my desk, so I started to create," she wrote in an email. "Then I wanted to expand my artistic skills into jewelry and props using paper clips, so I was like, 'Why not try to make glasses?'"

McClyde, who has over 43,000 followers on Instagram, said it took a lot of trial and error to make the glasses, but that she eventually was able to make a pair flexible enough to put on and post in. At the time, she had no idea what her fans would say.

"Getting this huge response has been mind-blowing," she said, referring to the overwhelming amount of support she's received since first posting with the faux readers. "My thought process is that I can make anything into anything... Who could've known I could make glasses completely out of paper clips? It's a true fashion statement that I hope the world can see and take grasp of."

Based on McClyde's comment section alone, it seems that people are definitely on-board with her paper clip glasses — not to mention all of the mesmerizing makeup looks she wears with them. Who knows, maybe we'll see her creations in stores someday. In the meantime, we'll be here dreaming about her sparkly accessorizes and double-tapping every awesome beauty look McClyde creates.
