PLAY Everyday Lotion SPF
I am sunburn phobic—since I have light skin and blue eyes—and have had my share of benign skin growths removed. All this makes me uber serious about protecting my skin when out in the elements. I can’t say enough good things about Supergoop SPF. I've been using this stuff for over five years now and can’t imagine life without it. Buying the 18 oz pump bottle broad spectrum SPF 50 is now one of my annual rituals. I love everything about it—how smoothly it goes on, has a non-offensive odor, leaves no chalky residue, feels ultra hydrating, is sweat/water resistant, and is gentle enough to use on my sensitive face. —Sue Kakstys, Production Coordinator
After years of wearing heels and running around NYC, I try to ensure my footwear walks the line of fashion and function. When Kuru sent me these sandals I knew I’d found my happy medium—these shoes might be the softest sandals I’ve ever worn. They’re comfy enough to traverse boroughs but cute enough to wear to brunch with my friends. Though the price tag is a bit steep, I think they’re worth it! —Emily Goldman, Senior Editor
I was recently introduced to a flower delivery service that’s a cut above, and I already know it’s my new Mother’s Day go-to. POMP delivers hand-picked flower arrangements that are pampered from seed to bloom on sustainable, family-owned flower farms, and they’re shipped in temperature-controlled gift boxes that help preserve the delicate bouquets. I love gifting flowers—it feels like a treat, and the joy it brings is a bonus form of gifted self-care. Pro tip: Keep the feel-good vibes going by drying the flowers once they’re past their prime and continuing to enjoy their beauty in a whole new way. —Alyssa Jung, Senior Editor
Moisturizer Repair Eye Cream
I’ve tried a few different eye creams in the past year, but this one stands out the most. This eye cream from Curél is luxuriously smooth, and it has a thicker formula that is ideal for dry skin, like mine. Since using this, I’ve tried most of the “Intensive Moisture Care” products from the brand, and I've loved them all. 10/10 would recommend. —Madeleine Haase, Assistant Editor
Workout Top Sleeveless Sport Shirt
This inexpensive, flattering Amazon find rivals some of my best athletic crops, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a breezy top this season. I’ve worn it running and to CrossFit, and it’s easy to wash (no special treatment required since it’s made of rayon, cotton, and spandex). The brand offers nine color options and five sizes to fit a wide array of preferences and body types. I’ll add that this tank isn’t TOO cropped or fitted—more on the boxy side/showing a tiny bit of skin, which I really like too. —Allie Early, Digital Director
Voyeur Eyeshadow Stick
I wasn’t an eyeshadow stick person until I tried these. They are so easy to use in every way: They’re slim and compact, making them great to bring for travel and on-the-go use; the formula is mess-free, beginner-friendly, and very forgiving; and the color payoff (and range) is fantastic. I can swipe the sticks onto my lids and easily blend out the hue with a brush or my fingers, and I love lining my eyes with them too. They're the perfect addition to any makeup routine. —Catharine Malzahn, Beauty Assistant
Women’s Bamboo Jogger Pant
The pandemic may supposedly be over but I’m still swearing off anything with a firm waistband or underwire—once you’ve been to the Promised Land it’s hard to go back. Which his why I appreciate Cozy Earth’s bamboo jogger pants. They’re so soft and cute and comfy that I could conceivably live through lockdown in them, but now that I don’t have to (thank you, vaccines, masks, and good luck!) I wear them everywhere. They’re cut in a flattering way, and I can even wear them to work with a semi-professional top. What I like best is that they are next-level casual, so you feel semi-chic and not like you’re just wearing sweats, which you kind of are. They run a bit big, so I would size down—just my experience. —Stephanie Dolgoff, Deputy Director, Hearst Health Newsroom
The Jetti Pack
Rucking, or walking with a weighted backpack, is a cool way to get more oomph from your walk, but I haven’t been able to get my pack adjusted just right so that it’s effective and not annoying. That’s why I love the JettiPack, a weighted pack designed specifically for women. I found it not only makes walking an extra-great workout, but it helps my posture, which I sorely need. —Sarah Smith, Editor in Chief
Women’s OOmg Sport Low Shoe
Oofos shoes and sandals are designed to help feet recover after workouts, but these crisp white ones are so cute I wear them all the time, even if I’m just doing errands around the city. They’re super lightweight, and the special foam bottom absorbs a lot of impact. I literally feel like I’m walking on clouds. Plus, they have no laces, which is really helpful if you have mobility issues. —Kaitlyn Phoenix, Senior Editor
Beste No. 9 Jelly Cleanser
For years, I’ve been on the lookout for a gentle cleanser that’s worth rebuying. I finally found the one when I was gifted this jelly cleanser that’s packed with oils, antioxidants, and hydrating ingredients. Not only does it leave my skin feeling soft and clean, I noticed a huge improvement in my acne within the first month of using it. Best of all, this product is vegan and cruelty-free. —Isabella Cavallo, Editorial Assistant
I’m training for my first marathon, and these portable air compression sleeves for my calves have been game-changing. I’ve been using them for a nightly massage to increase circulation and reduce soreness in my legs, so I can get right back to training after especially long runs. They come with rechargeable batteries and are even TSA-approved (I packed them on a quick trip to Seattle recently, which made keeping up with my running schedule on the go seamless). They’re definitely a splurge, but if you’re training for an athletic event or putting in serious time at the gym on leg day, they’re well worth the cost. —Christie Calucchia, Senior Commerce Editor
Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush
I’ve never been much of a blush type of person, but I’ve been dabbling in wearing it a lot more lately—and I’ve got to say that I absolutely love this one from Tarte. It’s a super-silky powder blush made of Amazonian clay, and I’ve found that just a little dab of it with a powder brush goes so smoothly on my skin and results in such a natural, rosy look that I love. It's safe to say I’ve now been converted into a blush girl. —Hannah Jeon, Associate Commerce Editor
Premium Tahitian Vanilla Sugar
Tahitian Gold is a small, California-based vanilla company founded by Tahitian entrepreneur Manuata Martin. One of their glorious products is Tahitian Vanilla Sugar: a blend of organic cane sugar and ground vanilla beans from Tahiti and Papua New Guinea. It’s so super-packed with the most delectable flavor that using even just a tsp on, say, plain yogurt gives it a sophisticated, nuanced blast of vanilla. A teensy sprinkle turns even out-of-season strawberries or boring cottage cheese into a delicious treat. I’m hoarding my bag and don’t share it with anyone. —Lisa Bain, Executive Director, Health Newsroom
Sleep Stone Lotion Bar
Beauty bars are a big trend right now: shampoo bars, shave sticks, and my favorite: solid moisturizers. This body stone from Kate McLeod hydrates and softens skin without feeling too heavy or thick. And it’s super easy to use! Just warm it up in your hand, glide across skin (arms, legs, etc.), and gently rub in for extra absorption. It feels so luxurious going on and really melts into your skin. The body stone comes in a variety of amazing scents; I love to use the sleep stone before bed, as the lavender and chamomile combo is super soothing. —Dori Price, Contributing Editor
Resurfacing Body Oil
Not only does this body oil smell like a spa thanks to its bracing herbal aroma, but it does more than just soften skin. Unlike other formulas, it’s an exfoliating treatment too, thanks to a 5% concentration of glycolic acid that helps smooth skin texture, including stubborn bumps. Plus, the formula soaks in quickly and doesn’t leave a greasy residue behind. I love that you get skin hydration, smoothing, and sensorial pampering in one. It's great summer skin prep. —April Franzino, Beauty Director
