Here's Proof Why You Need a Walk-In Shower ASAP
There are few bathroom amenities more luxurious than a walk-in shower. Marked by a glass wall or enclosure that's separate from a tub and easy to access, they’re incredibly practical and versatile—not to mention aesthetically pleasing. “Architecturally speaking, a walk-in shower can 'disappear' and [make a space feel] more open,” says Matt Baran, founder of Baran Studio Architecture. “It's useful when trying to capture views through multiple layers of space and in increasing the amount of light available to the bathroom.”

Chic Black-and-White
In a home found in between a ski resort in Collingwood, Ontario lies a picturesque A-frame chalet. Within its frame is a crisp black-and-white bathroom that makes the space feel like a hidden treasure. The slop sides are no match for the skilled eye of designer Sarah Richardson who went bold with marble walls and flooring.
One With Nature
Soak in the sun and appreciate the garden view in a shower design firm Hecker Guthrie did here. They also introduced some greenery in the shower, adding life (it will clear the air of chemicals) and color to a gray color scheme.
Sapphire Paradise
You'll bask in the beauty of the gemstone blue shower even when it's not in use. In Justina Blakeney's "Jungalow," the shower's niche is inset with a vintage mirror. This blue and gold color combo will make a morning shower even more energizing and glamorous, too.
Behind the Curtain
Designed by Cathy Chapman, this open-concept shower is in a league of its own. The shower curtain opens up to reveal a circle design on the floor and a rounded asymmetrical marble wall slab for another eye-catching surprise.
