Since holiday shipping deadlines were earlier than ever this year, stores got creative with same-day pickup and delivery options, even enlisting third-party delivery services to arrive at your door in a matter of hours with contactless options to comply with social distancing practices.

Order by 1 p.m. local time through December 24 for express delivery to receive items in two hours or less. Use the Walmart app to check for available slots for local pickup and delivery.

Buy online and pick up in store by Christmas Eve, 2 p.m. local time for same-day in-store or curbside pickup.

This year, Nordstrom is offering same-day delivery, curbside pickup, ship to store, and in-store pickup. All options include free gift wrapping.
Target
Now through Christmas Eve, place your Target order up until 5 p.m. local time for same-day pickup. You can even score same-day delivery with Shipt now through Christmas Eve, just don't forget to mark your order for same-day delivery when doing so.
Instacart
