15 Minutes of Raw Footage Featuring Italo Ferreira, Nathan, and John John Florence in West Oz

If ever there was a dream set up, and a dream crew, this stellar session featuring Italo Ferreira, and John John and Nate Florence at a right-hand air wave in Western Australia would be it. Fifteen minutes of some of the best surfers on the planet just having a good ol’ time.

It’s really what makes the Championship Tour worth it if you think about it. All these fantastic surfers traveling together with cameras in hand, killing six birds with a single stone. John John and Italo absolutely go off during this session (how’s that section starting at 2:11 with back-to-back, massive alley-oops from JJF and Italo?).

“After joining @FlorenceMarineX Nathan travels to Western Australia to hang with John during the Margaret River event,” reads John’s YouTube page. “These clips are from a lay day at one of their favorite air waves. They pulled up in the morning to find Italo in the parking lot. Sometimes the best sessions can’t be planned. Minimal editing, a lot of action.”

Action is right. This is definitely a stellar cut – a super session with none of the editing frills and all of the aerial thrills. The posting-of-raw-footage trend in surfing is one I hope sticks around.
