15 Frozen Waterfalls That Show the Beauty of Wintertime
Waterfalls have a certain allure and visiting one in person is often on vacation bucket lists. According to Niagara Falls Tourism, more than 14 million people visit their famed falls every year. And that's just one destination. Many other popular falls also attract millions of visitors. While many tourists flock to these spots in the spring when the falls are full with water from melted snow and spring rain, or in the summer so they can swim in the pools below, winter is actually an amazing time to visit these natural wonders. Sure, you might have to bundle up a little extra and strap on some snowshoes to get to some of the locations, but these epic waterfalls frozen during mid-cascade are worth the wintery workout. But if you prefer to see these without having to don your best arctic gear, we've found photos of some of the coolest frozen waterfalls from around the world.
