13 Million People Are Stalked Every Year In The US — These People's Screenshots Of Their Stalkers Will Shake You To Your Core

Disclaimer: The following post contains true stories of stalking and harassment.

According to Stalking Prevention, Awareness, & Resource Center (aka SPARC), an estimated 13.5 million people in the United States are stalked within a yearlong period. One in three women and one in six men experience stalking within their lifetime — aka this is a massive issue that we need to keep talking about. Here are direct screenshots from 14 different people on Reddit (women, specifically) who fell victim to stalking:

1."My stalker called himself a 'nice guy' today."

A series of texts in which the stalker says he'll continue creating Facebook accounts and phone numbers and knows where she works, so she might as well talk to him

2."My stalker has 'endless numbers,' so I'm quick to block anything I don't recognize, but will occasionally check my blocked messages folder to make sure I didn't block anyone other than him. I'm mostly just posting here incase I disappear. I'm sure the local police are fatigued by him by now."

Several unanswered texts where the stalker begs to take her out, then gets angry and threatening once he gets no response

3."I sent flowers to my girlfriend. Her stalker got upset and called the florist, who then GAVE THEM MY NAME."

A one-star review for a florist in which the reviewer says the florist provided his full name to his girlfriend's stalker, who is now flooding him with hate messages

4."My stalker and the person who SAed me ✌🏻forgave me✌🏻."

A two-page handwritten note saying "I said I forgive you, I wanted to believe that," but they're still upset because they've been made out to be a bad guy

5."My sister's stalker of three years with a new number after being blocked everywhere else."

The stalker sends texts from a new number pretending to be a club promoter, then provides a made-up name, but the woman realizes who it is and blocks him

6."I’m actually a nice stalker!"

A woman asks who this is and how he got her number, and he replies he saw her getting her eyebrows done and memorized the number she gave to the shop

7."I recently gave a dude directions on a street. I gave him a fake number, but he caught on. I live and work downtown and am easy to find, unfortunately. I guess I have a stage 5 clinger, even after rejection."

A series of unanswered texts in which a man calls a woman several pet names and says he often leaves his house just to come see her at work

8."I have a stalker and he left me this book. I'm creeped out right now."

The book is The Sorrows of Young Werther by Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe

9."My stalker found my business."

A rant several text messages long in which the stalker says he's treated like a total fool and piece of shit, but he's actually a pretty great person

10."I'm a creepy stalker, but you're a shit person if you don't want to stay with me!"

A Facebook post in which a man says "if I make the effort to find your address and deliver a $40 bouquet of flowers to your house, don't you dare tell me it's weird"

11."My stalker posted this on Instagram."

The post says "ladies, there are some really good guys out there, that don't have any interest in playing games, who value commitment"

12."I asked a stalker type guy to leave me alone because I have a boyfriend, and this was the response I got."

The text says "I was nothing but nice and this is how you treat me? I fucking knew when you were going to that university that you would turn into a whore"

13."My creepy stalker is back. This time he attacked my child that doesn't exist, and is still salty about my lack of nonexistent feet pics."

A Reddit thread in which a woman says you have to kill people with kindness, and a man responds calling her a whore and druggie and says he paid her for feet pics but she ripped him off

14.And finally, "Three years after I blocked him for stalking me. We went on one date. He made seven fake profiles, stalked me at work, and home. He also faked his own death to get me to talk to his 'friend' (aka another fake profile)."

A long text in which a man apologizes for creating fake accounts to stalk her and calling her nasty names, but that he just drove by the Starbucks where they met and it reminded him of her
