1. Beyoncé Recently, the queen received criticism on her new album Renaissance for using an ableist term in the song "Heated."
Beyoncé instantly changed the lyric on the Drake "co-written" track.

Lizzo changed her lyrics as well and has apologized to the community despite not purposefully using the word in a harmful way.

Rihanna took to IG to apologize for the mistake and hasn't done anything similar since.
“I would more importantly like to apologize to you for this honest, yet careless mistake. We understand that we have hurt many of our Muslim brothers and sisters, and I’m incredibly disheartened by this!” - Rihanna said

The fan-favorite song “Picture to Burn” featured some inflammatory language that she had to change the lyrics on.
Taylor had since apologized about using the lyrics and Swift has publicly supported LGBT causes .

The artist has since apologized and has stated numerous times how he doesn't have those words in his vocabulary anymore and even expressed how he left it in the past.
“I said some foul and offensive things whilst tweeting years ago at a time when I was young and proudly ignorant. Very hurtful and discriminative views that I’ve unlearned as I’ve grown up and become a man,” Stormzy tweeted in 2017
Neil Mockford / GC Images 6. Kevin Hart Kevin Hart made quite a few homophobic jokes on Twitter in his past that didn't get traction until his notoriety started to reach its peak in 2018 when he was announced as the host of the Oscars.
Once he was named as host, many people in the LGBTQ community gave him and the Academy backlash since Hart never apologized for those comments. Hart rescinded his hosting offer and apologized on many TV shows since then.
"Once again, Kevin Hart apologizes for his remarks that hurt members of the LGBTQ community. I apologize," he said while hosting Straight From the Hart on SiriusXM, according to transcript of his comments published by ABC.
Mega / GC Images 7. Ashton Pienaar Below Deck 's Ashton Pienaar had a near-death incident in Season 6 and Season 7, then had an aggressive moment with Rhylee Gerber and chief stew Kate Chastain that had fans outraged.
Ashton would apologize for his actions and proceed by claiming that he needed to "change his life." Ashton posted a couple of months ago about the two years of sobriety he's completed and how his life has had a complete 180.

Thorne apologized since then. "I wanted to bring attention to the site, the more people on the site the more likely of a chance to normalize the stigmas, And in trying to do this I hurt you. I have risked my career a few times to remove the stigma behind sex work, porn, and the natural hatred people spew behind anything sex related. I wrote and directed a porn against the high brows of my peers and managers because I WANTED to help with the stigma behind sex." she tweeted .
Samir Hussein / WireImage 9. Nick Cannon Nick Cannon made anti-semitic comments on his YouTube show that led to him being fired from his own TV show Wild 'N Out .
Cannon would give a full apology to the Jewish community and realize the hurt those comments caused. “First and foremost I extend my deepest and most sincere apologies to my Jewish sisters and brothers for the hurtful and divisive words that came out of my mouth during my interview with Richard Griffin,” Cannon tweeted .
“They reinforced the worst stereotypes of a proud and magnificent people and I feel ashamed of the uninformed and naïve place that these words came from. The video of this interview has since been removed.”

Fans made the 2015 tweet resurface and go viral in 2022, and Rose received backlash. She had to apologize again about how it was old and how she learned from that mistake and intends to only "spread love and positivity. "
Gp / GC Images 11. Snoop Dogg Snoop lashed out against journalist Gayle King for a livid response to an interview she had in 2021 that mentioned a 2003 sexual assault accusation pertaining to Kobe Bryant.
Snoop denied being "intimidating" in his response but would eventually admit he should have behaved differently and apologized.
“I publicly tore you down by coming at you in a derogatory manner based off of emotions of me being angry at questions that you asked,” said in an IG Post.
Mega / GC Images 12. Michael B. Jordan MBJ released a rum brand in 2021 named J'Ouvert. What he didn't know is that the name comes from a Caribbean festival that some considered shady and had ties to slavery.
Fans responded to Jordan to educate him on the name, including Nicki Minaj. Jordan apologized and will be renaming the rum brand.
"I just wanna say on behalf of myself & my partners, our intention was never to offend or hurt a culture(we love & respect) & hoped to celebrate & shine a positive light on," he wrote in an Instagram post.

She apologized to fans due to her thinking the mark was his "cleft lip." She would shortly after donate to the American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association.

Lowry apologized to Demi and fans, claiming that she doesn't want to mistake people's pronouns and will do better. Demi has since reverted to using "she/her" pronouns.
