Headspace is now offering a one-year subscription for unemployed people—for free

With everything that’s been going on with the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, it might feel like things are looking bleak. Not only can staying indoors all day and not interacting with loved ones really take a toll on our mental health, but it can be hard to find things to do while social distancing.

Luckily, many companies across the country have been creating free resources to help people who may be out of a job, are unable to visit their therapist or doctor, or simply need a mental health break. If you’re in any of those categories, scroll below to find a list of all the free services you can use during your stay-at-home period.

13 services that are free to use during social distancing:

1 Headspace

Your friendly neighborhood meditation app, Headspace, announced on Thursday, May 14th, that it will be offering *free* one-year subscriptions of its Headspace Plus service to all unemployed people who live in the United States. All you have to do is head to www.headspace.com/unemployed and register. Once you’re done providing your information, you’ll unlock thousands of hours of meditation and mindfulness practices, at-home workouts, and sleep-centric music and sounds to help you hit the hay faster. But don’t forget: If you’re a healthcare professional, you can still use Headspace Plus for free, too. You can find all the information here.
