Kleinfeld boasts the largest luxury bridal retail space in the world with a huge range of designers and prices starting at about $2,000. Mary D’Alessio, audience development director at PureWow raved about her experience there. “From start to finish I had the best experience, I think in large part due to my consultant Krissy who I swear was just on the same wave length as me and really helped me figure out what I actually wanted. Of course, all the gowns offered have that same cool, vintage vibe Anthro is known and loved for. BHLDN is a great place for both brides on a budget—gowns start at around $350 and run up to $3,000—and those working with a shorter timeline. There are two NYC locations, one on the UES and one all the way downtown, but they appear to carry mostly the same pieces, so feel free to choose whichever one is easiest to get to or has your preferred appointment time.

For the bride who loves thrifting, there are few places better for scoring a majorly discounted high-end gown than Glamour Closet. Seriously, couture and designer gowns are marked down up to 75 percent off with prices starting at just $600. Of course, because these are samples, the size range is limited with the vast majority being a bridal size 8 (however there are definitely other sizes available as well, just in smaller quantities).
