In year's past, Galentine's Day (which is officially February 13, BTW!) has served as a time to gather up all of your gals and have a lovely time together. In the Before (COVID) Times, that meant heading on an unforgettable girls trip to the destination of your choice or just all piling up together to have an SO-free celebration of the true loves of your life: your friends!

Since the COVID-19 pandemic is still in full effect, though, things are very, very different from the way you may have celebrated last year. That doesn't mean that you can't find a way to have a good time with your girls—both near and far. What's even more exciting is that you'll be able to create new traditions that will expand far past quarantine.

Not sure how you can still keep the Galentine's Day spirit alive without being able to hit up your favorite brunch spot with your crew? These quarantine-approved, food-centric ideas are a good place to start.

Have a curated dinner at home.

Why not change it up a bit this year and have a curated dinner at home? If you all happen to be oyster lovers, get farm fresh oysters delivered right to your door from Real Oyster Cult. Every order comes with 40 (East Coast and Canadian Maritime varieties) or 60 oysters (East Coast, Canadian, and West Coast varieties), gloves, a knife, mignon-nips, and the option to add on caviar. What more can you ask for?

Pack a brunch and take it to go.

If you're in dire need of seeing your BFFs but are still adamant about staying as socially distant as possible, there's still a way to get together to have the brunch time you all deserve. Each of you can pack up your food in to-go containers, choose the perfect scenic location, and enjoy your meal and mimosas while sitting on the bed of your trucks or on spread out picnic blankets that are properly distanced.

Have a virtual girls night.

Have your go-to party playlist handy, the perfect recipe already planned out to make together, and your signature cocktail ready to get the good times rolling.

Take a virtual flower arranging class and pair it with wine.

If you're looking for a way to step out of the box this Galentine's Day, a virtual flower arrangement class just might be the way to do so. Although floral arrangements technically aren't focused on food, finding a wine or Prosecco that has floral hints—like the Riondo Rosé—to sip on while learning something new totally is. And that, my friends, is how you take things up a notch.

Book an online cooking class.

Since doing (almost) everything online has become quite the norm in today's climate, setting you and your friends up for an online cooking class will deliver an unforgettable spin on our new "norm." Whether you want to learn how to make a special Indian-inspired holiday dessert from Chef Shagun of New York's Baar Baar restaurant or learn how to make the world's most delicious dishes from chefs around the world with The Chef & The Dish, there are plenty of options available.

Mail Galentine boxes to one another.

Valentine's Day may seem like the only day you can gift those you love with candy and chocolate, but if your friends love sweet treats just as much as you do, why not give some to them on Galentine's Day, too? If you're a person who likes to flex your creative muscles, you can create your own Galentine boxes that are equipped with all the special things your crew loves. If creativity isn't your strong suit, however, you can order a Care Crate from American Licorice Company to send out to your closest pals instead.

Send their favorite popcorn for movie night.

Would you and your girls normally have a night in watching all of your favorite BFF-centered movies? Keep with the tradition this year, but do it online! Ahead of your movie night, send over a few bags of their favorite popcorn (like any of the Candy Pop varieties, which will give them popcorn and candy all in one!) to enjoy while you Netflix and virtually chill.

Decorate cookies together virtually.

Galentine's Day is all about showing your closest friends you love them and that could also include your little ones, too! So, if you're looking for an activity that can be done with all ages, finding a cookie decorating kit—like the tasty sets from Color My Cookie—will be a perfect (and creative) addition to the day.

Indulge in a blind tasting kit.

Whether your crew is filled with rookie wine drinkers or those who consider themselves to be wine connoisseurs, Argaux’s Blind Tasting Kit will be the perfect activity to make the night complete. Not only will you be able to learn more about the types of wines you're drinking, but you'll be able to have a good time while doing so. A definite win-win in my book.

Give them a sweet gift that is actually helpful.

Sending your girlfriends chocolate for Galentine's Day may seem so predictable, but if you send them chocolate that can actually be functional, they probably won't expect that. Eat Gold Organics—which creates chocolate bars infused with wellness-boosting ingredients—has a bar for every friend in your crew. From the one who needs good vibes to the one who may be experiencing hot flashes, every friend will have a match.

Have a cake-decorating contest.

Have you and your friends bragged about needing to be contestants on the next season of your favorite baking show? Put your skills to the test by ordering a cake decorating kit from Duncan Hines to see which of you really reigns supreme.

Sign up for a virtual mixology experience.

Take your brunch sessions to the next level by sharpening your bartending skills with a virtual mixology class. Learn how to make Bacardi's most famous cocktails and discover at-home substitutions for drink ingredients in this 90-minute virtual mixology experience brought to you by Casa Bacardí. They even send you a kit that includes everything you need for the experience—including a personalized bottle of Bacardi Superior.
