Viola Davis stars in How to Get Away with Murder as Annalise Keating, a lawyer and professor. The first season involves a few of Annalise's students becoming interns at her firm, and they all end up involved in a murder investigation. Law School is somewhat similar to How to Get Away with Murder as it's about a group of law students, rather than lawyers at a firm. In the case of this Korean show, the students become mixed up in an investigation when their professor (Kim Myung-min) is arrested as a murder suspect. The group of students then work to prove his innocence.

Ally McBeal

Travel back to the turn of the millennium with Ally McBeal, all about the attorneys at the law firm Cage & Fish. The series focuses on the personal life of the title character, played by Calista Flockhart, and the various romances between characters at the firm. This dramedy also gives you something most other law shows don't: surrealism. (Does the "dancing baby" ring a bell?)

The Breaking Bad spinoff Better Call Saul puts the focus on Bob Odenkirk's Saul Goodman character. The series begins before the events of Breaking Bad and shows Saul's move from a conman to a criminal defense attorney prior to joining up with chemist-turned-drug-lord Walter White (Bryan Cranston).

The Korean series Extraordinary Attorney Woo follows Woo Young-Woo (Park Eun-bin), a newly hired lawyer at a large law firm. She had difficulty getting hired by a firm and is initially ostracized by her co-workers, but her skill as an attorney is clear as she takes on cases.

Criminal defense lawyer Perry Mason has existed since he was created by writer Erle Stanley Gardner in the 1930s. Since then, he's appeared in numerous books, TV series, and movies. The latest is HBO's Perry Mason, which premiered in 2020. This time around, Matthew Rhys stars as the character, who is working as a private investigator in the early '30s prior to becoming the well-known attorney.

The series All Rise is centered around Lola Carmichael (Simone Missick), a district attorney-turned-judge for the Los Angeles County Superior Court. The drama comes from the way Lola's life intertwines with other employees at the courthouse, including lawyers, bailiffs, reporters, and other judges.
