Frozen shrimp are an ingredient we always have on hand. Because of their size, they defrost and cook quickly, and can even be cooked from frozen. They are also versatile—they pair with all kinds of spices, sauces, and other ingredients. We use them in stir-fries, stews, soups, pasta dishes, and that’s just the start. Also, unless you live on the coast, most shrimp sold fresh have previously been frozen, so we think starting with frozen shrimp makes sense.

Our frozen shrimp recipes will inspire you to use that bag of frozen shrimp that’s been sitting in your freezer—and, hopefully, to buy another once you have. Many of these entree recipes can be made in 45 minutes or less—frozen shrimp really are a fast route to weeknight dinners.
