12 fan-favorite Friends episodes are hitting the big screen, and we have a LOT of opinions on the picks

In honor of the Friends 25th anniversary, there’s been a Pottery Barn home collection inspired by the series, coffee drinks that channel Central Perk, a massive pop-up, and so much more. But the celebrations just got even better because 12 fan-favorite Friends episodes are coming to movie theaters in September. And (do we even have to say it?) could we be any more excited?

According to a press release sent to HelloGiggles, Warner Bros. is partnering with Fathom Events for “Friends 25th: The One With the Anniversary.” The 12 episodes will hit more than 1,000 big screens in the U.S. across three nights, September 23rd, September 28th, and October 2nd. Here’s the official episode lineup:

  • Night 1: “Pilot–ReDo,” “The One With The Black Out,” “The One With The Birth,” “The One Where Ross Finds Out”

  • Night 2: “The One With The Prom Video,” “The One Where No One’s Ready,” “The One With The Morning After,” “The One With The Embryos”

  • Night 3: “The One With Chandler In A Box,” “The One With Ross’s Wedding – Part 2,” “The One Where Everyone Finds Out,” “The One Where Ross Got High”

While we agree with and love so many of their choices, HelloGiggles staff and contributors have some ideas on their own “fan-favorite” Friends episodes. From trivia game madness to Thanksgiving trifle, a Ross-and-Rachel kiss to a Chandler-Phoebe kiss and a Joey-Phoebe kiss (!!), here are our picks for the best Friends episodes.

“The One Where No One’s Ready”

“‘The One Where No One’s Ready’ is a perfect episode. It was the genesis of so many bits like ‘Could I BE wearing any more clothes?’ and ‘I’m breezy!’ and it coined the term ‘going commando.’ It’s also a bottle episode, so it takes place in real time and feels like you’re just sitting there in Monica and Rachel’s apartment, hanging out with everyone. It’s the closest thing you can get to being the seventh Friend.”—Elizabeth Entenman, Contributing Books Editor

“The One With Rachel’s Sister”

“Aside from the incredible Reese Witherspoon cameo, Monica being sick and trying to seduce Chandler by way of rubbing Vicks VapoRub on her chest is my all-time favorite TV moment. Any time I’m sick, I love to joke about being in the ‘priiiiiime of liiiiiife’ and jokingly asking my husband if he wants to “get with this.” (Spoiler alert: he doesn’t, and I can’t blame him!) I also call all my cozy clothes (or those that end up with a stain) ‘apartment pants’ to this day. In fact, I’m wearing my apartment pants right now! Who needs a pashmina?”Arielle Tschinkel, Contributing Writer

“The One Where They All Turn 30”

“I love an episode with a good flashback and this one is filled with them! And I’m not going to act like I don’t live for the moment when Joey runs after Phoebe to give her the perfect kiss. Lots of fun moments that don’t necessarily push along the main plot, but let us go along with them in their quieter moments and let the characters breathe. Plus, I for sure lived this episode IRL when I myself turned 30 so I appreciate the inspo.”—Missy LaPlace, Video Producer

“The One With the Embryos”

“Three words: ‘Ms. Chanandler Bong.’ Though the episode is titled for Phoebe’s surrogacy journey sideplot, the episode is iconic for the trivia game between Monica and Rachel and Chandler and Joey, hosted by Mr. Lightning Round, Ross. We got so much in this episode, from “shooting with Althea,” to Chandler’s mysterious job, to Joey’s imaginary space cowboy friend, to Rachel’s actual favorite movie, Weekend at Bernie’s. Plus, it kicked off Chandler and Joey taking over the girls’ apartment (and riding in epically on their horse statue). Not only did we learn so much about our Friends, we learned just how tight they really are.”—Caitlin White, News Editor

All of the Thanksgiving episodes

“Honestly, I’d watch any of the Thanksgiving episodes. (Isn’t that the true meaning of Friendsgiving?) I re-watch them every fall to get in the festive spirit, and to remind myself that no matter what I burn at dinner—at least I didn’t make a meat and jam trifle.”—Hayley Mason, Editorial Director

“The One Where Everyone Finds Out”

“Who could forget the iconic episode when Chandler and Monica’s secret relationship is finally discovered by Phoebe and Rachel (and poor Joey is caught in the middle)? The girls trying to get the couple to admit to their relationship turns into a hilarious battle of seduction. The writing and comedic timing of the whole cast is flawless, and watching Chandler cringe over Phoebe’s exposed bra never fails to make me laugh. Also, the repeated line ‘They don’t know we know they know!’ is ridiculous—in the best way possible. The charade ends with an extremely uncomfortable Phoebe-Chandler kiss, prompting Chandler to tell Monica he loves her for the first time! Oh, and Ross seeing the couple hooking up through his window and yelling ‘Get off my sister!’—comedic gold.”—Claire Harmeyer, Editorial Assistant

“The One Where Ross Finds Out”

“There’s nothing I love more than a properly-executed love story buildup, and Friends did not disappoint when it came to Ross and Rachel’s. Though we had to wait a whole season before the two finally got together, it was totally worth it when Ross found out how Rachel felt about him in that drunk voicemail. ‘You’re over me? When were you…under me.’ What a moment. Plus, who can forget that iconic doorway kiss at the coffee shop? Epic.”Natasha Reda, Contributing Writer
