The makeup artists and hairstylists backstage at Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week always manage to place us in a hypnotic state with their talent. And this season was no different, having created spellbinding beauty looks that were just as intricate as the hand-stitched runway designs.
Pat McGrath was the visionary behind some of our favorite haute couture makeup moments, including the glittery lips at Atelier Versace and Ziggy Stardust-esque face paint at Maison Margiela. Never one to shy away from controversy, Jean Paul Gaultier sent models of all races down his catwalk rocking flat twists and faux locs updos.
