11-year-old Nandi Bushell is a force to be reckoned with.

The drumming star skyrocketed to viral fame with impressive covers of iconic rock tracks from Foo Fighters, Pixies, Nirvana, and more, and now she finally shared the stage with legendary musician Dave Grohl — after competing side-by-side in a virtual drum battle during the pandemic.

While playing a show at L.A.’s The Forum on Thursday, August 26, Grohl invited Nandi onstage to perform during the band’s rendition of their popular hit, “Everlong.”

“We've had the honor to jam with some pretty amazing people over the years. Some Beatles, some [Rolling] Stones, some Pink Floyds. But this one right here takes the cake,” Grohl said, per People, adding that Nandi is “the most badass drummer in the world.”

The Foo Fighters’ frontman jokingly referred to Nandi as his “arch-nemesis,” referring to their online drum battle from last year. As he welcomed Nandi to the stage, Grohl recounted the memory of being challenged to a drum-off by the 11-year-rold, exclaiming that the young musician “whooped my f***ing ass in front of the entire plant.” He went on to describe Nandi as an inspiration, especially during the trying months of the pandemic. “In a time when you would pick up your phone or turn on your computer and all we had was bad news, for that one day, you'd pick up your phone and see that connection between two people who never making music together and spreading joy and love all across the world.”

Nandi also celebrated getting to perform alongside Grohl and his bandmates, writing on Twitter, “It happened!!! It was #EPIC!!! Thank you so much @foofighters!!! I had the best night ever jamming with you at @TheForum!”

In addition to her popular covers, Nandi is growing an impressive list of accomplishments, including her own songs and a gig as Cartoon Network’s first-ever “musician in residence.” In a recent interview with Alternative Press, Nandi shared that she and her brother will be featured in Teen Titans, and she’s currently writing songs for other shows on Cartoon Network. As for the future, Nandi hopes to collab one day with Billie Eilish (yes, please!) and she has big plans for her own music. “Probably in the future, in a few years, I’m going to be touring the world,” she told Alt Press. “Fans can look forward to my platinum album. [It’s] probably going to be triple [or] quadruple platinum, and [I’ll be] touring around the world. I’m going to be playing festivals and stadiums and lots of other big venues.”
