The 11 Most Stylish TV Shows of the '90s, Ranked
Oversized prints. Sweater vests. Medium-wash jeans. Nineties style was a hell of a drug, and one that's currently back in fashion. There's no doubt that TV encapsulated the trends at the time, as well as preserved our memory of them in the form of reruns. And what better way to remember them than by projecting our modern day opinions onto outfits of the past? Here are the most stylish TV shows from the '90s, ranked using our (highly scientific) (and secret!) in-house method.

11. Friends
Friends definitely had some good turtlenecks, high-waisted jeans, and overtly visible undershirts (h/t Chandler Bing). But its rampant sexism and homophobia are a little...out of vogue.

10. In Living Color
So. Many. Patterned. Shirts. So many! They basically were the entire outfit—but sometimes that's all you need.

9. Kenan and Kel
Before Saturday Night Live, Kenan Thompson blessed television viewers with an inside look into the perils of loving orange soda and owning many, many velour T-shirts.

8. Saved by the Bell
Truth be told, this hoodie, shorts, high socks, and sneakers outfit would absolutely be acceptable right now.

7. Martin
Big buttons! Too-big pants! Crazy hats! Martin had everything.

6. Freaks and Geeks
Nobody loved olive green and graphic tees like the cast of Freaks and Geeks.

5. Boy Meets World
Boy Meets World had 'fits on 'fits. The baggy jeans, dad shoes, and burnt orange sweaters were (and are) everything.

4. Melrose Place
And on the flip side of casual is Melrose Place's penchant for the fancy.

3. Family Matters
Many of these shows are good, but Family Matters and Steve Urkel is really the only one that matters. At least when it comes to turned-up normcore style.

2. Dawson's Creek
Esquire.com's own social media editor, Elena Hilton, described Dawson's Creek fashion as "Martha's Vineyard plaid-chic" and declared: "Pacey Witter is the only person who looks good in a bowling shirt." We're hard-pressed to disagree.

1. Fresh Prince of Bel-Air
Jaden Smith had to have gotten his fashion flair from somewhere. Likely his dad's MEAN windbreaker collection.
