11 Hallmark Movies To Get You in the Halloween Mood, Ranked

Fall means many things: pumpkin spice, falling leaves, cooler weather — and for a lot of us, Hallmark movies. No one manages to capture the spirit of the season, whichever that may be, the way that Hallmark does. From cozy Christmas movies to fun, fall-themed films, these 11 Hallmark movies will get you in the fall spirit, right in time for Halloween. And we've ranked them from our least favorite to our most loved.

11. Love, Fall and Order (2019)

Claire (Erin Cahill) and Patrick (Trevor Donovan) play two rival lawyers. Claire is back in her Vermont hometown to help save her father's farm in a legal battle with his neighbor, while Patrick is related to and also representing said neighbor. Despite the conflict between the two, romantic feelings begin to brew. A fun Hallmark fall movie if ever there was one!

10. Pumpkin Everything (2022)

Pumpkin Everything also makes our list of favorite Hallmark fall and Halloween movies. Amy (played by Taylor Cole) has to confront her ex (Corey Sevier) when she returns home to look after her grandfather and his pumpkin themed store.

9. Falling for Vermont (2017)

Author Angela (Julie Gonzalo) needs to get away from the media frenzy surrounding her new book, so she takes a quick fall getaway, only to crash her car into an embankment, hitting her head and losing some memory. When she wakes up, she's being cared for by the town doctor (Benjamin Ayres), who offers her his guest house during her recovery. As time passes, Angela finds herself blending seamlessly into his life, leaving her wondering if the life she's been living is the one she really wants for herself. This is a great Hallmark movie to get you in the fall mood.

8. Growing the Big One (2010)

Emma (Shannen Doherty) inherits her grandfather's pumpkin farm, along with his debt. In the hopes that the prize money could help out her debt, she enters the local pumpkin growing contest. We love this as a pre-Halloween movie.

7. Harvest Moon (2015)

Jessy Schram plays Jen Stone, a privileged city girl who goes bankrupt. The only thing she has left is a pumpkin farm, but when she arrives at the property to sell it so she can continue living her lavish lifestyle, the handsome farmer who runs it opposes the sale wholeheartedly. As time passes and they spend more time together, feelings toward one another start to grow. Another great movie to watch as Halloween nears.

6. October Kiss (2015)

October Kiss stars Ashley Williams as a free-spirited nanny hired by a work-obsessed father to help care for his two children. As she begins to spend more time with the family, she finds herself becoming more and more invested in the children — and their father (Sam Jaeger) — and ultimately tries to teach them about what's truly important in life.

"I was offered October Kiss shortly after giving birth to my first son," Williams told Hallmark For All Seasons. "I was easing back into the work force and the script was sweet and there were only 11 shooting days. My husband said 'Let’s go to Vancouver and just do this. Together.' We had a great time!"

5. Love, of Course (2018)

Amy (Kelly Rutherford) is prepared to face an empty nest after dropping her daughter off at college, until she receives a six-week offer by the Director of Administration to plan the Harvest Festival. Noah (Cameron Mathison) is the professor in charge, and sparks start flying between the two of them — but what happens when he is faced with a professorship all the way in Australia?

"...Ultimately, the story’s about taking a second chance – taking a chance at love, going out on a limb a little bit. And I think there’s a lot to learn from it," Cameron Mathison told My Devotional Thoughts.

4. Pumpkin Pie Wars (2016)

Many years ago, Faye and Lydia had a fallout after the local pumpkin pie baking contest, resulting in them each opening up their own individual bakeries. When the contest comes around again, their kids and co-workers, Casey (Julie Gonzalo) and Sam (Eric Aragon), must go head to head. However, things don't go according to plan when the two begin to fall in love.

"When I first got hired for the project, word started spreading through my family. And then people started saying, 'Oh my gosh, I love that channel! I love the movies of the week.' Hallmark is huge! And I didn’t realize how big it was," Aragon told My Devotional Thoughts.

"Hallmark greeting cards, okay. Hallmark movies. My mom has been so supportive. She had a party at the house during the premiere. She’s been sending me picture texts of what people have been writing to her. Someone has sent me a gift basket with pumpkin pie cookies, a Starbucks pumpkin latte, ground pumpkin coffee card, and it just keeps going on and on."

3. Midnight Masquerade (2014)

Elyse Samford (played by Autumn Reeser) comes to acquire a massive candy corporation from her dad. A trademark infringement lawsuit brings her to a law firm where she meets Rob (Christopher Russell), a kind, young lawyer at the mercy of his boss. When Elyse invites the firm to a masquerade ball, he is told he must work the night at the office. With a change of heart, he attends as a prince and a dance with Elyse leaves her wondering who her mysterious prince was.

Autumn Reeser told Showbiz Junkies: "I liked the sort of feminist take – if you will – on the Cinderella story. I thought it was an interesting way of retelling it. I had such a great experience working with Hallmark in the past that I wanted to work with them again. They take great care of me and my family, and I had a wonderful experience on the movie.” This Hallmark film is the perfect pre-Halloween movie for all!

2. Sweet Autumn (2020)

Maggie's (Nikki DeLoach) Aunt Dee leaves her candy shop to her and Dex (Andrew Walker), a maple farmer. With the help of letters left by Aunt Dee, the two attempt to uncover why she split it between the two of them.

Andrew Walker told PEOPLE of working with is costar Nikki DeLoach: "Even though I've worked with Nikki twice before, the movie has a way different dynamic than the other two. And I'm really proud of our work that we did on this. And I think a lot of it stemmed from the fact that we were really hands-on with the creative side. 1. The Good Witch (2008)

When it comes to Hallmark Halloween movies, the network always manages to capture the fun of the season by staying away from the overly spooky. Catherine Bell plays Cassie, who just moved to a new town and opens a shop full of different things. The children of local police chief (Chris Potter) take a liking to her and think she just might be a good witch. However, there are still a few members of the community she has to win over. The Good Witch is the perfect Hallmark film for a touch of fall ahead of Halloween, making it one of our favorite movies on the list.
