From singers to actors, one thing's for sure: no matter how famous you are, you still have hard friendships like normal folks. These one-time besties were once inseparable, but now most of them are saying "goodbye."
These 11 famous friends have had very messy public fallouts that I'm sure you've heard of, let's take a stroll down memory lane...
1.Jordyn Woods and Kylie Jenner
Jordyn Woods and Kylie Jenner were inseparable until Woods and Tristan Thompson — Kylie's sister's Khloe's boyfriend at the time — allegedly kissed at a party. The biggest friendship breakup in 2019 was from the most dramatic cheating scandal. Thompson cheated on Khloé Kardashian again after he cheated during her first pregnancy.
Some fans are convinced Woods and Jenner are still secretly friends, but they haven't hung out socially or been seen together in public since the scandal.
2.Selena Gomez and Francia Raisa
The most recent very public friendship breakup was between Selena Gomez and Francia Raisa. Raisa gifted Gomez a kidney, and the singer failed to mention their friendship in her Apple documentary Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me, basically saying that she didn't really have any industry friends besides Taylor Swift. The comment seems to have rubbed Raisa the wrong way as she is in the industry as being an actor, and she unfollowed Gomez on social media.
Apparently, the two had fallen out years ago and reconciled in 2021, but after the documentary, no one knows for sure if they are friends.
3.Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik
After Zayn Malik made an abrupt exit from the British band One Direction in 2015, some group members were not feeling him. Louis Tomlinson and Malik had some heated social media exchanges after Malik openly trashed the music One Direction made. Apparently, most of the drama stems from Malik not supporting Tomlinson after his mom died and skipping his final appearance on The X-Factor, which was his first solo appearance.
During an appearance on the Zach Sang Show, Tomlinson revealed that he and his bandmate haven't made up since they fell out seven years ago. He said, "I don’t know if I’m mature enough now, but I’m definitely closer to being over all that," regarding what happened in their friendship.
4.Larsa Pippen and Kim Kardashian
We still don't really know what actually went down between these two former besties, but Larsa Pippen gave viewers an insight into what really happened between her and former bestie Kim Kardashian on The Real Housewives of Miami. She said, "I was best friends with Kim, and I love her, and I love Kanye, and I just was the person that was stuck in the middle."
"I was the friend that was basically there and saw everything. And that basically was the demise of our relationship. I knew too much, I was a problem, and so, whatever. That’s kind of what happened." As of now, the two are still not friends.
5.Kim Kardashian and Blac Chyna
Speaking of, Kim Kardashian and Blac Chyna were friends long before her little sister Kylie Jenner decided to start dating her friend's man, Tyga. (Can we please talk about how the Kardashians have a thing for friends' exes, WTF?)
Anyways, the relationship was officially over when Blac Chyna publicly took the family to court for the cancelation of Rob & Chyna on E! But perhaps the relationship was over when Jenner and Tyga began dating. This relationship is for sure over ever since the court hearing in May 2022.
6.Kanye West and Jay-Z
Once Jay-Z skipped Kanye West's wedding to Kim Kardashian, it was pretty clear to the rest of us there was a rift in the relationship. The long-time friends had known each other for nearly two decades, and Jay-Z's decision not to attend the wedding came from Ye's rant at one of his concerts about Jay-Z's family.
"What really hurt me was, you can’t bring my wife and my kids into it. … Like, Kanye is my little brother. He’s talked about me a hundred times. He even made a song called ‘Big Brother.’ We’ve gotten past bigger issues. But you brought my family into it, now it’s a problem…" Jay-Z told Rap Player in 2016.
"You know it’s a problem because me and him would have been talked about it, been resolved our issues. And he knows he crossed the line. He knows. And I know he knows. ‘Cause we’ve never let this much space go between one of our disagreements, and we’ve had many. That’s part of who we are." The two are still not friends.
7.Kanye West and John Legend
Recently, John Legend revealed that he and Kanye West were also no longer the best of friends. The moment the two fell out was when Legend didn't support Ye's presidential run during the last election.
Apparently, it's up to Ye if they can be friends again and get past Legend's support of Joe Biden. John told People, "I don't know what will happen in the future, but he was very upset with me that I didn't support him and I supported Joe Biden. It's up to him whether he can get past that."
8.Taylor Swift and Katy Perry
Taylor Swift and Katy Perry were friends back in the early 2000s and often out together before the biggest drama of the decade pitted the country and pop singers against each other. The two were allegedly caught in a love triangle with John Mayer, which ignited it all. But "Bad Blood" was the final straw when Swift let her true anger out. Many speculated the 2015 song was about Perry, including Perry. In an interview with Rolling Stone, she said:
"For years, I was never sure if we were friends or not. She would come up to me at awards shows and say something and walk away, and I would think, ‘Are we friends, or did she just give me the harshest insult of my life?"
She claims Perry did something unforgivable, which solidified that they were enemies, and it wasn't even about a guy.
As of now, the two have squashed beef in 2018 when Perry gifted Swift an actual olive branch during her Reputation Tour. Then Taylor Swift sent Perry "Peace at Last" cookies.
9.Seth Rogen and James Franco
Seth Rogen publicly severed ties with James Franco after his sexual misconduct allegations became public. In 2018, Franco was accused of sexually inappropriate behavior by five women, four of whom were his acting students.
Rogen told the Sunday Times that he had no plans on working with long-time work bestie Franco after the allegations surfaced. Soon after, Franco confirmed the news but also said he still loves Rogen.
10.Irv Gotti and Ja Rule
Irv Gotti and Ja Rule seemingly fell out earlier in 2022 after Irv Gotti described explicit details of his sexual relationship with singer Ashanti. Ja Rule has been linked to Ashanti in the past as they collaborated musically multiple times on "What's Luv," "Always on Time," and more.
Ja Rule defended Ashanti when Gotti expressed graphic details, posting on Instagram after Gotti's comments on Drink Champs: "The last few days have been very turbulent for me, but it’s time to land the plane. … I love my sis; I love my bro, but I DO NOT condone or agree with the behavior nor the way Gotti handled things on Drink Champs. 11.Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton
Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan's relationship was pretty messy. The infamous night out all started with who was invited and who wasn't. The girls have a history of throwing each other under the bus when it comes to short-lived reality shows or talking to the paparazzi. Perhaps, the most public outburst was when Lohan called Hilton a "C U Next Tuesday" in 2006.
