The 2018 Golden Globes ceremony was eventful, to say the least. Actors hit the red carpet wearing black as part of the Time’s Up movement against sexual assault and harassment. Oprah made a game-changing speech. Tommy Wiseau…was there. This year’s show was about more than funny, memorable moments. But that doesn’t mean we didn’t also get great Golden Globes memes out of the deal.

The 2017-2018 awards season was bound to be more politically charged than usual. There are important reasons for that. But Hollywood is about entertainment as well as social commentary, and our favorite stars certainly did entertain us while making long overdue statements about gender equality. Overall, it was a big night.
