'1000 Lb. Sisters' Star Tammy Slaton's Husband Dead at 40

Caleb Willingham, the reportedly estranged husband of 1000-Lb. Sisters star Tammy Slaton, has died at the age of 40.

His stepmother, Shirley Willingham, confirmed news of his passing to TMZ earlier today, July 1, but did not provide any additional details, such as when or where he passed or a cause of death.

Slaton later took to Instagram to share the news herself, writing a message directly to her late husband: "Rip sweet angel you will forever be missed and loved so much thank you Caleb for showing me real love and happiness ❤️❤️."

She also shared a series of photos taken of the couple last Christmas, where the posed closely together in front of a decorated tree at the Ohio-based rehab facility they met in.

The couple married in November 2022, after knowing each other for just a few weeks while both were patients in the same healthcare facility. According to an anonymous source, Willingham wasn't following his diet in rehab, which led to a big weight gain and an even bigger fight, which sparked the couple's separation.

Slaton recently celebrated one year since her bariatric surgery, noting how "thankful to be alive" she is after her significant weight loss. She added, "It’s fun to be progressing as much as I am.”

Willingham reportedly asked for a divorce prior to the fight, later trying "to backtrack." Slaton, who has left rehab and is back home in Kentucky, appeared to have no interest in reconciling at first, though stirred up some confusion in May when she shared a selfie that appeared to feature a black wedding band, and then again, in June, where she appeared to be wearing her diamond ring again.

According to TikTok star Sarah Fraser, Caleb broke his silence on the alleged split in a Facebook post where he wrote, "We are married by paper only right now. Her decision not mine." He continued, "I'm hurt, mad, confused and alone even with others around."
