Season 5 of 1000-Lb Sisters has shown viewers a new side of Tammy Slaton. Recently, Tammy reached a milestone in her health journey as she continues to smash her weight-loss goals after years of stagnation.

In a clip shared by TLC's official Instagram account, Tammy and her sister Amy Slaton decided to get pedicures ahead of a trip to the beach.

"Three years ago, Amy and I came to this nail salon, but things didn't go so well," Tammy explained in the video. "Unfortunately, they had stairs. At that time, I wasn't healthy enough to climb the stairs."

She continued: "The lady was nice enough to go ahead and give me a pedicure while sitting in just a regular seat. But she made me a deal."

The nail salon owner, Sarah, told Tammy: "When you have lost enough weight that you can actually get up here, I want you to come back and it will be my treat."

Well, Tammy took her up on the offer—and Sarah was both surprised and delighted to see her again.

"It was very shocking to see the difference in Tammy," the business owner told cameras. "Of course, Amy has lost quite a bit, too. But Tammy's was just so much more unexpected to me how much she had lost compared to when she was here the last time."

Tammy reflected on the milestone, telling viewers, "Being able to walk up the stairs is not about the free pedicure. It's about proving to myself and to Amy that I can do it."
