Tammy Slaton is feeling very grateful ahead of the one-year anniversary of her bariatric surgery.

The 1000-Lb Sisters star, who underwent the weight loss procedure in 2022, opened up about her health journey in a new interview. While speaking with People, the TLC personality shared that she's "feeling great" and "thankful to be alive" after losing hundreds of pounds.

She added, "It’s fun to be progressing as much as I am.”

On where she's at with her recovery—which at one point required her to use a walking aid and an oxygen tank—Tammy noted, "Now I only wear my oxygen at night, along with my BiPap machine. I monitor my oxygen levels throughout the day and keep my machine on hand in case I need it.”

This update comes shortly after fans applauded Tammy, as well as her sister Amy Slaton, for their respective weight loss transformations since joining 1000-Lb Sisters years ago.

Specifically, at the end of May, fans sung the praises of both Tammy and Amy after a photo from a sisters' night out showed how far they've come. "Both look SO good," one follower gushed in response, "but Tammy… wow wow Wonder Woman wow..she’s BEAUTIFUL!"

Another chimed in, "This picture just brings tears of joy to my eyes. Just goes to show what strong women can do to change things in their lives when they want to."

Despite Tammy's candid update about her weight loss, she stayed noticeably tight-lipped about har marriage. As Parade previously reported, the reality TV star allegedly separated from husband Caleb Willingham this year, mere months after their nuptials.
