'1000-Lb Sisters' Star 'Sore and Bruised' After Car Accident

Amanda Halterman is on the mend after a car accident.

The 1000-Lb Sisters star, who is a relative of TLC personalities Amy Slaton and Tammy Slaton, revealed she was involved in a collision in an April 22 Instagram post. Alongside a photo of the damaged car, Amanda wrote, "Yesterday I was in an accident. I wanna take the time to thank the emts and first responders for everything they always do. Special thanks to Mr Bunner and Lisa and a huge special thank you to a person who wants to remain anonymous."

She continued, "Thank you God for keeping me and the person who hit me safe. I'm sore and bruised but I'm still here."

It didn't take long for fans to send Amanda well wishes. Case in point: One fan commented, "Sending prayers for a speedy recovery."

Another chimed in, "Take care of yourself Amanda. Thank goodness everyone is ok!!"

A third shared, "Oh Amanda, I’m so happy you’re okay!"

However, one fan took the opportunity to fish for an update about a possible 1000-Lb Sisters Season 5. The follower noted, "I pray that your show gets even more popular. It’s about time that we see real people having real everyday struggles. I’m a huge fan and wish you all the best for a successful future."

We can't blame the fan for seeking out Season 5 details, as TLC has not officially renewed the popular reality series.

Yet, there is already plenty of material to work with. In the time since cameras stopped rolling on Season 4, Tammy has lost around 300 pounds and Amy split from longtime love Michael Halterman.
