'1000-Lb Sisters' Star Amy Slaton Reveals How She's Coping Amid Her Divorce

The TLC personality hinted at the 'pain' she has faced.

Amy Slaton isn't letting her breakup get her down.

On April 21, the 1000-Lb Sisters star shared an empowering message amid her divorce from husband Michael Halterman. Alongside a selfie, which showed off her purple hair, the TLC personality wrote, "A true queen turn [sic] her pain into power."

She emphasized her point by adding, "#beautifuldisaster."

The image, which was uploaded to TikTok, was set to Alicia Keys' powerful anthem "Girl on Fire."

It didn't take long for fans to rally around the reality TV star, leaving several inspiring messages of their own. One fan commented, "You are an absolute Queen!! We love you beautiful lady."

"You looks amazing," another weighed in. "You got this, girl!"

A third shared, "Show them what you're made of Amy!"

This update comes over a month after her husband, Michael, filed for divorce in Kentucky. The pair, who eloped in 2017 and had their ceremony later in 2019, share two sons together, Gage, 2 and Glenn, 9 months.

According to In Touch, the former flames share temporary joint custody of the children and follow a schedule that will allow both to “maximize the amount of available parenting time.”

And it seems that the children are Amy's sole priority, as she routinely posts about her sons on TikTok. In April, Amy shared a sweet video of the young boys playing together, captioning the post, "Brotherly love."

As for whether the divorce will play out in season five of 1000-Lb Sisters? TLC has yet to officially confirm that more episodes are coming. Here's hoping season five news arrives sooner than later!
