Game of Thrones is closer than, say, Jaime and Cersei Lannister in season one, but we still have some time to kill before the season eight premiere. So, what better way to pass the long night(s) than by diving into all the lingering questions we have about the hit HBO series? Here, we boldly answer 100 frequently asked questions plaguing fans ahead of the Game of Thrones season eight premiere.

1. When does ‘Game of Thrones’ return?

GoT season eight premieres on Sunday, April 14, at 9 p.m. PT/ET on HBO. 

2. How do I Watch?

3. How Many Episodes Are There In the Final Season?

Sadly, this season has only six episodes. The plus side? They’re pretty damn long.

According to HBO, the season eight premiere will span about 54 minutes. The second will run 58 minutes. As for the last four episodes, they’ll be a touch longer. Episode three is an hour and 22 minutes, episode four is an hour and 18 minutes and episodes five and six (aka the series finale) are each an hour and 20 minutes.

4. So This Is it for ‘GoT’?

That’s right, but don’t get too down. HBO announced it’s working on several spin-off shows, including a prequel with a pretty great cast. 

5. What book are we on anyway?

Well, it’s a sore subject. Author George R.R. Martin, who penned the Fire & Ice series on which Game of Thrones is based, is a little bit behind. At this point, the show is actually past the books. 

6. Who’s Still Alive in the Show?

As far as central characters go, Jon Snow (Kit Harington), Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner), Arya Stark (Maisie Williams), Bran Stark (Isaac Hempstead Wright), Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke), Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey), Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) and Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage) are all still alive and kicking. We’ll see who’s still standing by the end of season eight. 

7. Remind me, what happened in the season 7 finale?

Jon and Daenerys had sex while sailing up to Winterfell. Jaime left Cersei when he found out she lied about wanting to help fight the dead. Arya and Sansa teamed up and killed Littlefinger. The Night King rode Viserion, burned the Wall down and is now marching toward Winterfell.

8. Wait, Aren’t Jon and Dany Related?

Yep. Jon is Daenerys’s nephew, and her older brother, Rhaegar Targaryen, is Jon’s father.

9. Um, Isn’t it going to be awkward when they find out?

Probably a little awkward. But you have to remember, in Westeros it’s not anywhere near as weird as it is to us. The Targaryens used to marry brothers and sisters to keep the bloodline pure, so aunt-nephew isn’t that crazy. I mean it’s crazy, but they also have dragons and a dead army, so on the scale of crazy, it’s not that crazy.

10. Is Daenerys pregnant? (Yikes.)

Yes, it seems like she’s pregnant. We’ve just heard her go on and on about how she can’t have kids for so long, that it’s almost like Chekhov’s gun. It’s not something that’s mentioned with that much frequency unless some sort of miracle is going to take place and change everything. Also, it’d be thematically fitting (although incredibly sad) for her to die in childbirth, just like her mother, Jon’s mother, and Tyrion’s mother all did.

11. So when is Jon going to find out who he really is?

Probably pretty soon. As we’ve seen from the trailers, Jon and Daenerys are on their way to Winterfell, and there are two people there who know the truth: Bran and Sam. As much as we hate the awkwardness that will likely arise when Jon and Dany learn they’re related, we can’t wait for Jon to find out he’s actually Aegon Targaryen and not a bastard child.

12. What’s the significance of Jon Snow’s real name being Aegon Targaryen?

Aegon Targaryen was the name of the original conqueror of Westeros. He and his sisters rode in on their dragons and started the entire Targaryen dynasty. Long story short, it’s kind of a big deal and Jon has some major shoes to fill. 

13. WAS NED STARK (AKA JON’S FAKE DAD) EVER PLANNING ON TELLING HIM ABOUT HIS TRUE IDENTITY??

When Jon heads to the Wall in season one, Ned promises him the next time they see each other, he’d tell Jon about his mother. Well, they never saw each other again. So while Ned wanted to spill the beans, he never got to. 

14. Does This Mean Howland Reed is going to finally show up?

Howland is the only firsthand witness who can attest to Jon Snow’s parentage in the book and he knows the truth of what happened when he and Ned found Lyanna at the Tower of Joy. So yeah, probably. 

15. BETWEEN JON AND DAENERYS, WHO HAS A BETTER CLAIM TO THE IRON THRONE?

Technically, Jon does. You see, Rhaegar was the heir to the Iron Throne, which means his son is ahead of his siblings in the line of succession. Khaleesi is not gonna like this. 

16. So what should we expect from the season eight premiere?

All signs point to the season beginning with Jon, Dany, Tyrion and the Dothraki arriving in Winterfell. Jon will be reunited with his cousin-siblings as well as with his best friend Samwell Tarly. From there, we anticipate that Tormund and Beric Dondarrion will also arrive in Winterfell and totally screw up the happy reunion by telling everyone that the White Walkers broke through the Wall and are on their way to Winterfell.

Sam and Bran will try to get a word with Jon to explain his real parentage and his rightful claim to the Iron Throne, but Jon will be preoccupied planning for the upcoming attack. Ultimately, the White Walkers will arrive and a bloody, fiery battle will ensue at Winterfell.

17. HOW BIG IS THE BATTLE OF WINTERFELL?

Big. So big it’s being called the longest and largest battle scene in the history of film and television. It’s going to be essentially an hour straight of fighting when the White Walkers descend upon Winterfell. In fact, it’s so intense, the IRL Arya Stark even said it “broke” her.

18. What are White Walkers Again?

White Walkers are an ancient race of ice creatures who hail from the Far North. As legend has it, they waged war on the First Men and now they’re squaring off with Jon Snow et al. in order to—you guessed it—take over the world (or so we are led to believe at this point).  

19. The Children of the Forest created the White Walkers, right? Why?

That’s right. Let’s start from the beginning. In season six we saw Bran’s vision of the Children of the Forest plunging a dragonglass dagger into the heart of a man to create the first White Walker. They did this because the Children were in the midst of a war with the First Men. The First Men were chopping down all the Weirwood trees throughout Westeros, which are the trees with red leaves that have some connection with the old gods. The First Men were taking the land that had been inhabited by the Children since the dawn of time, so the Children resorted to their old magic to try and create a weapon to help them defeat the First Men. The White Walkers were that weapon and—spoiler alert—they totally work. 

20. But are they different than wights?

Uh huh. Wights are actually dead people that the White Walkers resuscitate so they can become foot soldiers in the army of the dead. 

21. At the end of Season 2, we see a White Walker on a horse ride past Sam and stare at him. If they’re so scary, Why didn’t he kill Sam?

We don’t really know anything about the White Walkers or their true motivation. Maybe they aren’t the bloodthirsty villains we think they are. Maybe they aren’t the instigators of this fight. When you think about it, almost every fight we’ve seen between the living and the dead has been started by the living. Maybe the White Walkers are wondering why everyone keeps trying to kill them?

22. They have something to do with the Long Night, right?

They do. The Long Night was a winter that lasted for an entire generation. It was so harsh many starved to death, which allowed the White Walkers to descend onto Westeros and turn the deceased into wights. Eventually, this led to the War for the Dawn where the people of Westeros triumphed over the White Walkers and drove them all the way back to the Far North. Then, they erected the Wall and the Night’s Watch was founded to make sure the White Walkers never returned. 

23. What will the Night’s Watch do now that the Wall has been destroyed?

In the immediate, they’ll likely ride south and help fight the dead in the Battle of Winterfell. Once the war is over, they’ll probably be tasked with rebuilding the wall.

24. Speaking of the wall…Did Tormund and Beric die when it was burned down by The Night King?

The last time we saw Tormund and Beric was at the end of the season seven finale. They were manning the Wall at Eastwatch and saw the Night King and the army of the dead burn the Wall down. For a long time we didn’t know whether they survived the collapse of the Wall, but thanks to the trailer we know that Tormund and Beric are both alive and probably running to Winterfell to alert everyone.

25. BTW, Is Benjen Stark dead? We never saw him actually die after he saved Jon Snow north of the Wall.

It seems to imply that he’s dead, but the truth is anyone we don’t see die could still be alive. He also could have been killed and raised from the dead, so perhaps we’ll see him at the Battle of Winterfell.

26. WHO ELSE MIGHT WE SEE AT THE BATTLE OF WINTERFELL?

Well, we already know Jaime is riding north to help out, but there’ll likely be a couple of surprises too. 

Remember the scene from the trailer where Arya is running with a look of terror on her face? It was probably the most shocking scene, because you know that if Arya is shook, we’re all gonna be shook. It looked from those scenes that Arya was running through the crypts of Winterfell, which probably means the White Walkers have raised the dead Starks as members of their army. Arya was probably running from her headless father’s corpse, or her great-great grandfather, or even her aunt Lyanna’s skeleton. 

On a lighter note, we’re also hoping Nymeria brings her (dire) wolfpack to the fight. 

27. Will Jon Ride a Dragon?

Yes. Definitely. Once he and Dany learn of his Targaryen roots, she’ll probably give Jon one of her dragons.

28. Cool. Which one?

Rhaegal. It would only be fitting for Jon to command the dragon named for his father.

29. I hear Jon and Viserion May Have a Connection. What’s the deal?

Maybe is the operative word here. Since, once upon a time, Jon was brought back to life and is a Targaryen (aka dragon guru), he may have an ability to sway Viserion, who was resuscitated by the Night King in the season seven finale. 

30.WHAT’S THIS I KEEP HEARING ABOUT THE 'PRINCE THAT WAS PROMISED' PROPHECY AND AZOR AHAI?

This is a doozy. You might remember in season seven when Melisandre meets with Daenerys at Dragonstone, she mentions a prophecy about “the prince that was promised.” That prince, according to the prophecy, is Azor Ahai reborn. Azor Ahai himself lived thousands of years ago and was a legendary warrior who sacrificed everything to save humanity from the White Walkers. Remind you of anyone? He used a legendary flaming sword called Lightbringer and used it to fight back the White Walkers and save humanity. NBD. 

31. But Why is this dusty old prophecy important?

Well, in Game of Thrones, all prophecies are important because in most cases we’ve seen, they come true. So if this prophecy is to be believed, Azor Ahai reborn will be a legendary warrior who saves the world from the White Walkers with a legendary weapon.

32. So who could be Azor Ahai reborn?

The obvious choices here are Jon Snow and Daenerys. When you look at it on paper, they fit the bill, and furthermore, Jon’s father, Rhaegar Targaryen, believed that his son would be the “Prince That Was Promised,” because there was another prophecy that said the prince that was promised would be a Targaryen.

33. So are one of them for sure Azor Ahai reborn?

In our honest opinion, Jon Snow and Daenerys are a bit too on the nose for Game of Thrones and George R.R. Martin. It’s too obvious an answer. When you think about it, the best clue about who Azor Ahai reborn may be is probably to look at Melisandre. She has spent the entire series obsessing over this one prophecy, seeing visions in the flames and trying to interpret them to the best of her ability to find the prince and serve him.

At first, Melisandre thought Stannis Baratheon was the prince that was promised. She followed him north to the Wall, and after he was defeated, she shifted her attention to Jon. But what is the one constant between Jon and Stannis?...Davos Seaworth. Ser Davos has been the loyal and faithful hand to both kings. Could it be that he is actually the one Melisandre is seeing in the flames?

34. But if the ‘Prince that Was Promised’ has to be a Targaryen, how could it be Davos?

You probably just realized the answer to that question. What do we know about Davos? He’s a newly appointed lord whose house has no history. He was born in King’s Landing and mentions that fact over and over again: “Pardon my Flea Bottom accent.” It would also explain why he has this kinship for royal bastards, and how his being the “Prince That Was Promised” would fit with the prophecy.

35. Wait, Could it be that Davos himself is also a royal bastard?

It would explain why he was born in King’s Landing and has no family name. Also, the actor who plays Ser Davos, Liam Cunningham, shared in an interview that George R.R. Martin once pulled him aside to tell him a secret about his character, so there’s that.

36. Does Cersei have any chance of keeping the Iron Throne? Does anyone support her claim?

No and no. Cersei surviving it all would be the ultimate buzzkill. The only people that support Cersei are Euron Greyjoy, Qyburn, Gregor Clegane and the Golden Company (a sellsword company that Euron Greyjoy went to Essos to recruit). Outside of literally everyone else dying, I’d say she doesn’t stand a chance. 

37. IS THERE ANYTHING WE NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE GOLDEN COMPANY, THE SELLSWORD ARMY CERSEI JUST BOUGHT?

They ride elephants into battle. Seriously. Elephants.

38. BTW, Is Cersei really pregnant?

It seems like the real deal, but Cersei is no honest Abe, so who knows?

39. Here’s a fun one. If Cersei dies, who will be the one to kill her?

According to prophecy in the books, she is going to be killed by her younger brother. The thing is she has two younger brothers. Jaime is her younger brother by a few minutes, and Tyrion is her younger brother by a few years. At first, everyone seemed to assume it was going to be Tyrion, but popular opinion has since swayed to it being Jaime who will strangle Cersei. Our money, however, is on Arya Stark doing it, while wearing Jaime’s face.

40. Let’s Talk Logistics. Is there still wildfire beneath King’s Landing or did Cersei already use it all?

Cersei only torched the wildfire beneath the Sept of Baelor. According to Jaime, there are caches of wildfire hidden beneath the entire city of King’s Landing that are still just sitting there.

41. Does that mean King’s Landing is going to blow up?

Yes. It seems pointless for them to have made a point of telling us there’s wildfire underneath King’s Landing if they aren’t going to use it.

42. Who’s going to blow up King’s Landing?

Tyrion seems like the most likely candidate. We know he has disdain for the people of King’s Landing and we also know he’s familiar with wildfire from his experience on the Blackwater in season two.

43. Hey, Where’s Gendry and does he have a claim to the Iron Throne?

Gendry is likely at Winterfell right now working as a blacksmith (based on footage from the trailer). As far as his claim to the Iron Throne, it depends. If he’s simply a bastard of Robert Baratheon like we’ve been led to believe, then he doesn’t have much of a claim on the throne. But there are a few hints that may suggest he’s not actually a bastard, and is instead the only trueborn child of Robert Baratheon and Cersei Lannister. (It’s not just that he and Cersei have the same haircut.)

44. Is there any real evidence that points to Gendry being Cersei’s son?

In season one, Cersei speaks to Catelyn Stark about her first child who was born with jet black hair and died as a baby. We also hear Gendry speak about his mother, saying the only thing he remembers is that she had golden hair. Could it be that Varys or someone pulled the old switcheroo and took baby Gendry and replaced him with another to protect him, knowing Cersei and Jaime would have the baby killed? If this is the truth, then Gendry’s claim on the throne is as strong as any.

45. On the subject of Lannisters, What’s Up with Tyrion?

Calling it now: Tyrion’s story this season is going to be one of the most interesting things we see. We recently rewatched the entire series and there are some really interesting clues that Tyrion has ulterior motives. For instance, do you remember this scene from the second episode of the series? More and more it seems like Tyrion is working toward betraying Jon and Daenerys. Perhaps he’s in cahoots with Cersei, or perhaps he simply wants to see the world burn like he told the people of King’s Landing during his trial. It’s likely Tyrion is going to die one way or another at the end of the series; the shocker may be that it’ll come by execution for treason for betraying Jon and Daenerys.

46. WHAT ARE THE RUMBLINGS THAT TYRION ISN’T A LANNISTER?

There’s a pretty convincing theory out there arguing that Tyrion is actually a Targaryen/Lannister bastard child and a ton of evidence to support it. Do with that what you will. 

47. WHAT’S JAIME LANNISTER GETTING INTO THIS SEASON?

The possibilites are endless. There are a number of theories about Jaime Lannister’s role in the upcoming season. Some of our favorites are that he’s the “Prince That Was Promised,” that he’ll become the (Night) King Slayer and—the best—that he’ll kill Cersei and join forces with Jon and Dany. 

48. Is Jaime in love with Brienne of Tarth?

Actually, there are a few characters in love with Brienne, which is quite poetic. You may remember that Brienne once explained to Jaime how she came into the service of Renly Baratheon. Her father held a ball for her and all these young lords came and essentially made fun of her for being so big and ugly. The only one there who was kind to her was Renly. For Brienne now to be the belle of the ball seems like a full-circle moment, so to speak. She now has her pick of the litter between Jaime Lannister, Sandor Clegane and Tormund Giantsbane. We know Tormund is interested, but we think Jaime and the Hound also have their eyes on Brienne.

49. So who will Brienne end up with?

If it were up to her she’d probably end up with Jaime, but we’re predicting Jaime will die, probably in Brienne’s arms. Honestly, we don’t see Brienne ending up in a happy relationship with anyone, even though Tormund and Brienne is the Westeros celebrity couple we need.

50. WHAT’S THE LATEST WITH ARYA’S KILL LIST?

Our girl has made some major progress over the last several seasons as far as her serial killer agenda goes. As of now, Cersei, Ilyn Payne, The Mountain, Melisandre and Beric Dondarrion are the only ones left for her to exact revenge on.

51. That reminds us. How many Valyrian Steel swords are there?

In the books almost all of the great houses have their own Valyrian steel sword. The Lannisters famously lost theirs when Tywin’s uncle took it with him on a trip to Essos and never returned, which is why Tywin was so hell bent on melting down Ice, Ned Stark's massive Valyrian sword, to make Oathkeeper and Widow’s Wail for his family. The fact that they lost one of the most valuable things in the world was always a bit of a blemish for him and the Lannisters.

The show, however, has been a bit more sparse in its dispersal of Valyrian steel. As far as the show is concerned, the only Valyrian blades we know of are: Longclaw, which is in the possession of Jon Snow. Heartsbane, the ancestral sword to House Tarly, which Sam stole and brought with him to Winterfell. Oathkeeper and Widow’s Wail, the aforementioned two swords Tywin Lannister forged. Oathkeeper is with Brienne of Tarth while Widow’s Wail is with Jaime Lannister. Finally there’s the Catspaw Dagger, which was the weapon used in the attempted assassination of Bran in season one. The dagger belonged to Littlefinger and is now safely in the possession of Arya.

52. What is Valyria anyway?

It’s a city in Essos where the Targaryens came from hundreds of years ago, before they left and came to Westeros. We’ve seen it in the show once when Tyrion and Jorah were on that rowboat sailing to Daenerys in Meereen.

53. Why did the Targaryens leave Valyria?

Because one Targaryen girl had a dream that something terrible was going to happen in Valyria. Her dad saw her dream as a vision of the future, so he put his family on the backs of their dragons and flew off to Dragonstone. Hey, at least it paid off. 

54. DID SOMETHING BAD END UP HAPPENING IN VALYRIA?

Oh yeah. Big time. That’s why Valyria is now a ruin and the Targaryens are grateful they got out. 

55. Well, What happened?

We don’t really know. It’s kind of a mystery. They call it “The Doom of Valyria,” and all we know is that everyone who lived there died. It kind of has a Chernobyl/Pompeii sort of feeling about it.

56. Is Valyria still important?

Absolutely. Valyria is where a lot of major elements of GoT came from originally: The Targaryens, dragons, Valyrian steel and the Faceless Men.

57. Wait, The Faceless Men came from Valyria?

Yep. They were originally slaves in Valyria, and some think they were the ones behind the “Doom” itself, in an attempt to free the slaves and kill all the masters. Whoa.

58. On the subject of Faceless Men, Is Arya the Waif or is she actually Arya?

Remember when Arya and the Waif had their final battle after Arya cut the candle? So here’s a question to throw you for a loop: Could the Waif have actually killed Arya and taken her face? It’s possible…but then it wouldn’t make sense how Arya recognized Hot Pie at the inn when she went back to Westeros, or how she recognized Nymeria in the forest. So we’re gonna go ahead and say there’s zero chance Arya is dead and the Waif is wearing her face.

59. Will we get more direwolf action this season?

Hopefully. The visual effects team that works on GoT confirmed that Ghost will play a large role this season, which hopefully means we’ll see both him and Nymeria (and her wolf army).

60. What are Direwolves again?

They’re basically bigger, stronger wolves. 

61. And What’s Their Connection to the Starks?

A racing grey direwolf in a white field is House Stark’s mascot, and before his death, Ned Stark gave his kids (even Jon) their own IRL direwolves. 

62. What are their names again?

Jon’s direwolf is named Ghost, Robb’s is Grey Wind, Sansa’s is Lady, Arya’s is Nymeria, Rickon’s (remember him?) is Shaggydog and Bran’s ironically named pup is Summer.

63. Are they all still, um, alive?

That’s a nah. Nymeria and Ghost are the only Stark direwolves who haven’t passed. 

64. On a Lighter Note, Will Sansa Remain Lady of the North?

Well in one of the trailers, we see Sansa basically bending the knee to Dany, so while she’s still head Stark in charge, it doesn’t appear that she’ll continue to rule Winterfell. 

65. What’s Up with Sansa’s New ’Do?

Historically, the way Sansa has styled her hair hinted at where her allegiances lie. In the trailer we just mentioned, Sansa’s braids look strangely similar to Daenerys’s hair from “The Long Walk.” That, combined with her telling Dany, “Winterfell is yours, my grace,” means she’s a follower, not a leader. At least for now…

66. Who will Sansa end up marrying?

Our bet's on Gendry. Remember in the first episode of the series, Robert Baratheon said, “I have a son, you have a daughter. We’ll join our houses.” He may not have been right about which son, but maybe he’ll prove to be right seven seasons later. It could be Gendry and Arya, but we just don’t see Arya ending up married.

67. What’s the deal with Varys?

We know that before his death, Littlefinger attempted to take the Iron Throne because he told us as much. He envisioned himself sitting on it with Sansa next to him. Every move he made was calculated in an attempt to reach the Iron Throne. But every time anyone asks Varys what he cares about, he mutters back two completely empty words: “The realm.” Long story short, we don’t know what Varys’s motivation is, but it could be one of the major reveals this season.

68. Oh, that reminds us: Robin Arryn. What role will he play this season?

Well, now that Littlefinger is dead, it would seem that Robin Arryn is going to actually be thrust into leading the Knights of the Vale in some way or another. It would be the ultimate display of time to see Robin riding into battle after he was first introduced in season one as a breastfeeding eight-year-old. Oh, how things have changed.

69. Will Melisandre ever really be explained?

All we can do is hope. We don’t know much about her backstory other than the fact that she was born into slavery, is actually really old and probs has one hell of a skin-care routine.  

70. What’s with her connection to Varys?

Melisandre and Varys have a bit of a shared history: Both were born in Essos into slavery and suffered tremendous abuse. Both traveled to Westeros to help “protect” the realm. Both found themselves thrust into positions of influence over potential rulers of Westeros. It could be that they simply resent one another in the same way you resent people who remind you of yourself and the things about yourself you wish didn’t exist. But based on their conversation in Dragonstone, it seems like they have a bit of a rapport; like they both know something about the other that we don’t quite know yet. Maybe Melisandre and Varys were sent to Westeros by the same people to accomplish the same task?

71. Is Melisandre going to bring anyone back to life this season?

If we had to guess, we’d say yes. It seems like an insane power to only have her use once, right?

72. The Grey Worm and Missandei love story. What’s happening there?

Don’t know, don’t care. TBH, there’s really no significance to their coupling other than to show that love is blind. Whether you’re a castrated soldier who loves a handmaid, a nephew who loves his aunt, a brother who loves his sister, a royal bastard who loves a wildling or a dwarf who loves a prostitute, love exists. As Jaime Lannister once said, “We don’t choose who we love.”

73. Will the show stay in Westeros this season, or are there more Essos storylines to be explored?

Well, beyond Varys and Melisandre there is one lingering Essos storyline that we think will be explored: Braavos. We don’t know much about the Iron Bank of Braavos, which we have seen both Cersei and Stannis Baratheon borrow money from. We don’t really know why the bank keeps investing in the wars of Westeros, and we also don’t really know much about the motives of the Faceless Men who are also in Braavos. So, it wouldn’t surprise us if we saw Braavos play a role in the upcoming season as we try to get answers to all those loose threads.

74. Hmmm, Are the Faceless Men connected to the Iron Bank in any way?

It would seem likely that they are. Every lender needs some muscle to get their investments paid back, right? We know the Faceless Men cost a lot to employ, and we know that the Iron Bank has more money than anyone in the world, so it seems likely that their interests align and it’s not pure coincidence that the two exist in the same city.

75. WHAT ABOUT ARYA’S ‘DANCE TEACHER’ FROM SEASON ONE? HE WAS FROM BRAAVOS, RIGHT?

Yes. Syrio Forel was the First Sword of Braavos, which made Arya’s relationship with Jaqen H’ghar all the more suspicious. Could it be that Syrio himself was a Faceless Man? Could it be that Syrio survived since we never actually saw him die and he is Jaqen H’ghar? It’s absolutely possible. From the beginning of the show it’s as if there was an imaginary force pushing Arya to Braavos to train to become a Faceless Man.

76. Will we see Jaqen H’ghar this season?

The question should really be, how will we know if we see Jaqen H’ghar? We’ve got so much to get through in six episodes, we don’t see the plot venturing outside our principal cast of characters all that much.

77. Could there be imaginary forces pushing Arya toward Braavos?

Well, the only “imaginary force” we know of is Bran. It’s certainly possible Bran maybe whispered in his father’s ear that Arya needs a Braavosi teacher.

78. What other events could Bran have influenced by time traveling?

We saw Bran yell to his father outside the Tower of Joy. If you remember, Bran yelled “Father!” and Ned turned around. Bran also could have given Ned the idea to pretend Jon Snow was his bastard son.

79. Is There Anything Else Bran Could Have Manipulated?

Jaime Lannister said that when the Mad King was nearing the end of his life, he insisted tons of wildfire be made and stored beneath King’s Landing. Jaime also says that the Mad King kept repeating the same three words over and over again: “Burn them all.” This has made a lot of people think that the “voices” the Mad King was hearing were actually Bran trying to convey to him that the only way to defeat the White Walkers was to burn them all.

80. BTW, Why does everyone think Bran Stark is the Night King?

The simple answer is that we’ve seen Bran’s ability to affect the past and future by “warging” into people within a past vision. We also heard the old Three-Eyed Raven warn Bran numerous times about what could happen if he spent too much time in a vision: he could drown and get stuck there. There was a distinct shift in Bran’s personality after he left the cave, which could be a subtle hint that something happened and Bran is now lost in the past, stuck inside the mind of the Night King. That might take a moment to process. 

81. Wait, what the heck is ‘warging’?

Wargs, like Bran, are people who can enter human or animal minds to control their senses or actions. When they do that it’s called “warging.”

82. Is ‘Warging’ Kind of like ‘Dragon Dreaming’?

Not really. “Dragon Dreams” are basically prophecies that arrive by way of a dream. They can only happen to Targaryens. 

83. And What’s the Three-Eyed Raven?

Three-Eyed Raven is the last greenseer. (What’s that? Oh, just the ability to perceive the past, future and present.) The OG Three-Eyed Raven lived with the Children of the Forest beyond the Wall and is all-knowing. He appears in Bran’s vision/dreams and inspired Bran to venture beyond the Wall. There, he was trained in greensight and became the Three-Eyed Raven. 

84. Could Bran actually be Bran the Builder (the old Stark King who built the wall)?

Thousands of years ago Brandon Stark, the King in the North, built the Wall to protect the North from the White Walkers. One prominent theory is that Bran the Builder is actually Bran who used his time-traveling powers to influence the people of the North to build the Wall in the first place. Sure, it’s possible, but is it accurate? Who knows?

85. Does the Three Heads of the Dragon Theory Have Anything to Do with the Three-Eyed Raven?

Nope. The similar moniker is purely coincidental as far as we know. 

86. So what’s the Three Heads of the Dragon Theory then?

In the books, Maester Aemon insists on his deathbed, “the dragon must have three heads!” It ties into the “Prince That Was Promised” theory and essentially means there will be three people who can ride dragons and ultimately save the day.

87. Who Are the Three Heads of the Dragon?

Our guess? Jon Snow, Daenerys Targaryen and Tyrion Lannister (who, as we mentioned previously, could very well be a Targaryen) . All three of them were born third, all three of them killed their mothers during childbirth, and all three of them played a role in the death of people they loved (Ygritte, Khal Drogo, Shae).

88. What’s up with dragonglass? Why is it so important?

Dragonglass is the Westeros version of obsidian. Like Valyrian steel, it’s one of the few materials that can kill wights and White Walkers. Luckily, Dany has tons of it. As you might imagine, this will come in very handy during the Battle of Winterfell. 

89. What’s this Seven Deadly Sins Theory All About?

Some people think GoT is an allegory and that each house represents one of the cardinal sins. House Tyrell is greed, House Baratheon is rage, House Targaryen is envy, House Martell is gluttony, House Frey/Greyjoy is sloth, House Stark is pride and House Lannister is—obviously—lust. In this theory, the White Walkers are the ice version of Noah’s flood and they’ll ultimately wipe out all of the sin and people of Westeros. Let’s hope this one doesn’t come true. 

90. WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO DANY'S OLD FLAME DAARIO NAHARIS?

Totally forgot about him! He’s still in Slaver’s Bay as far as we know, ruling for Daenerys. Maybe if he gets word that she’s in trouble, he’ll hightail it to Westeros and we’ll get a weird love triangle situation, but we’d be surprised if we ever see or hear from him again.

91. Did they recast him or are we imagining that?

GoT has a history of recasting roles between seasons. They recast Daario, The Three-Eyed Raven, The Night King, Tommen Baratheon, Myrcella Baratheon, Gregor Clegane and Beric Dondarrion. 

92. Where did Theon go?

Theon took a ship and some men to go and rescue his sister from his evil uncle.

93. Is there any significance to the Iron Islands plot line?

The show is in many ways all about identity, so the Iron Islands plot line serves a purpose in reinforcing that theme. Theon was born a Greyjoy, raised a Stark, and then became Reek. Arya may have pretended she was no one, but Theon really is no one. He doesn’t know who he is and we think the Theon plotline will explore his identity this season. He’ll be forced to find out who he really is, just like Jon Snow. 

94. So how is ‘Game of Thrones’ going to end?

Our guess? The fight against the White Walkers won’t go well, so Jon will try to get Cersei to lend him her fire to defeat the Night King. She’ll arrest him and try to have him sentenced to death, but Arya will kill Ser Ilyn Payne the executioner, borrow his face, kill Cersei and save Jon. Then, the Night King will descend on King’s Landing and will engage in an enormous fight with Jon, of which Jon will be victorious (aka the “Prince That Was Promised”).

95. Who’s going to end up on the Iron Throne?

If you trust Vegas, it’s gonna be Bran. But our bet is that it’ll be Bran serving in a role similar to Ned Stark’s early role in the series: Lord Protector, until the son or daughter of Jon and Daenerys comes of age.

96. And Who will survive?

Our predictions are as follows (don’t @ us): Arya Stark, Bran Stark, Sansa Stark, Samwell Tarly, Davos Seaworth, Brienne of Tarth, Sandor Clegane, Theon Greyjoy, Missandei, Grey Worm, Gendry and Robin Arryn. Boom. 

97. IF JON SNOW ENDS UP ON THE IRON THRONE, WHO WOULD BE HIS DREAM KINGSGUARD?

The Kingsguard is made up of seven of the greatest knights in Westeros. This is our dream team for Jon: Beric Dondarrion, Sandor Clegane, Brienne of Tarth, Jorah Mormont, Tormund Giantsbane, Jaime Lannister and Arya Stark. That’s a pretty fearsome seven. Throw in Ghost and nobody will ever lay a finger on the king.

98. Has the cast said anything about the ending?

Oh yes, plenty. Emilia Clarke called it the equivalent of taking off your bra after a decade, Sophie Turner said it was like having a rug pulled out from under you, and Kit Harington and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau both called it satisfying. We’ll see about that. 

99. What will I do with my time once ‘Game of Thrones’ is over?

Well, you can always read the books if you haven’t yet. The books have many more storylines with characters that don’t even exist on the show. There's also a 2-hour behind-the-scenes GoT documentary airing the Sunday after the last episode, on May 26. Or, you can just start counting the days until the prequel series is released.
