H-E-B is a Texas favorite all year round, but during the holidays, the best grocery store in Texas has everything you need to give your holiday festivities a nice, Southern touch.

While H-E-B does offer traditional fixings, like pumpkin pie, turkey, egg nog, and fruitcakes, you’ll find things you weren’t even thinking of looking for.

We’re sharing the items we like to buy at H-E-B every holiday season, as these treats are essential for any Texas holiday party. And now, if you’re based in North Texas, you won’t have to make a far trek, as two new H-E-Bs have recently opened in Dallas-Fort Worth.

Texas Roots Poinsettias

It’s not the holidays in Texas without poinsettias. These bright red and green flowers just exude vibrant, jolly energy wherever you place them in the house.

During your trip to H-E-B, you’ll want to pick up a few arrangements of Texas Roots Poinsettias to place in every room of your home. Just make sure to keep them out of reach of your furry friends.

Cafe Ole Christmas In A Cup Coffee

We know the holidays can be stressful, but H-E-B’s Cafe Ole brand Christmas In A Coffee is the sleigh fuel necessary to keep you going this season. A bold blend of Arabica beans, mixed with spices and vanilla flavoring, Christmas In A Cup gives you the caffeine boost you need, while filling your soul with festive flavors.

Flavor Favorites Candles

Keep your home smelling fresh and wintery this season with H-E-B’s signature Flavor Favorites Candles. Some classic holiday scents include sugar cookie, candy cane creamery, and homemade vanilla. Not to mention, a butter tortilla scented candle. It doesn’t get more Texas than that!

Apple Cider Trail Mix

If you’re munching on snacks before the guests arrive to your Thanksgiving or holiday party, or if you’re a stressed college student looking for something to snack on while studying for exam, we recommend H-E-B’s Apple Cider Trail Mix. Most trail mixes are salty, but the sweetness of the apple and cinnamon flavors balances out the saltiness of the pretzels and pecans.

H-E-B Bakery Masa

Whether you’re making tortillas or tamales, the best way to start is with H-E-B’s Bakery Masa. Comprised of corn, lard, baking powder, and starch, the masa already does the hard part for you. If you want to give your tamales an extra kick, try the masa con chile.

Some of our favorite are their candy cane and egg nog flavors, as well as their signature Winter Wonderland flavor. This iconic ice cream contains a white chocolate base, with almonds, as well as minty red and green flakes.

Piñata Cake

No matter what you celebrate, H-E-B has a Piñata Cake for quite literally every occasion. Christmas, Chanukah, New Year’s, you name it. This four-layer cake, topped with buttercream icing is a scene stealer, as it unloads sprinkles as it is sliced. No matter the holiday, the Piñata Cake is sure to be the talk of the party.
