If you’re anything like me, you always put serious thought into your streaming queue. It’s not that I’m extremely particular—it’s that I always finish what I start, so there’s no point in wasting my time on a show that isn’t going to keep me entertained. That’s why I compiled a list of ten TV shows premiering next month that are guaranteed to have you clicking that “next episode” button.
From Lisey’s Story to Lupin, here are ten must-watch shows coming out in June, according to an entertainment editor.
1. 'Lisey's Story'
Premiere date: June 4 on Apple TV+
This Stephen King adaptation is about a woman named Lisey (Julianne Moore), who discovers troubling information about her late husband (Clive Owen) two years after his passing. Bonus points for the all-star cast, which includes Joan Allen, Ron Cephas Jones, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Sung Kang and Dane DeHaan.
2. 'The Bachelorette'
Premiere date: June 9 on ABC
The popular dating series is back with another drama-filled season. But this time, it’s all about new Bachelorette Katie Thurston and her journey to find love.
3. 'In the Dark'
Premiere date: June 9 on The CW
You may have watched the first two seasons on Netflix, but In the Dark is actually a CW original series. The drama is returning for its highly anticipated third season following Murphy Mason (Perry Mattfeld), a blind woman who’s on a mission to solve her friend’s murder.
Premiere date: June 11 on Netflix
Part one premiered earlier this year, and now, Lupin is returning for part two in a few short weeks. The series focuses on a professional thief named Assane Diop (Omar Sy) as he resumes his quest to avenge his father.
5. 'Workin' Moms'
Premiere date: June 15 on Netflix
The relatable sitcom is back for season five, which documents the unlikely friendship between four working moms (duh).
Premiere date: June 18 on Apple TV+
Set in the ’80s, this satire comedy follows Sheila Rubin (Rose Byrne), a San Diego housewife who launches a VHS aerobics business. “Alexa, play ‘Physical’ by Olivia Newton-John.”
Premiere date: June 18 on Netflix
The murder mystery show is returning for season four, which picks up right where we left off. (You know, with Las Encinas welcoming a new batch of students.)
8. 'Kevin Can F**k Himself'
Premiere date: June 20 on AMC
If you loved Schitt’s Creek, then you need to watch this all-new series starring Annie Murphy (who played Alexis Rose on the popular sitcom). Kevin Can F**k Himself is a dark comedy about a wife who suddenly realizes her marriage is far from perfect.
9. 'Too Hot to Handle'
Premiere date: June 23 on Netflix
Think of it as a cross between Love Is Blind and Love Island, following a group of ten single contestants who travel to a tropical paradise in the hope of winning the grand prize: $100,000. The catch? In order to win the full amount, they must keep their hands to themselves or risk monetary deductions.
10. 'The Mysterious Benedict Society'
Premiere date: June 25 on Disney+
Based on Trenton Lee Stewart’s best-selling novel, this mystery adventure series documents a group of orphans as they uncover the truth about their nefarious boarding school (aka The Institute). Dun dun dunnn.
