If there's one thing we've learned about Elliot Page, it's that he can embody almost any character. Over the years, we've seen him go from a vanishing superhero to an angst-ridden teenager. And of course, we can't forget his incredible portrayal of Vayna Hargreeves in Netflix's hit series, Umbrella Academy.

1. ‘Hard Candy’ (2005)
The psychological thriller starts off by giving strong Lolita vibes, but then it takes a very dark and creepy turn, touching on themes like revenge and blurring the lines between good and evil. Page is simply brilliant (and terrifying, we might add) as Hayley Stark, a teen who's determined to expose an adult photographer who appears to be a sex offender.
2. ‘Inception’ (2010)
It's the mind-bending flick that'll make anyone's jaw drop to the floor, and Page's performance as Ariadne only elevates the movie's overall quality. Leonardo DiCaprio plays a professional "extractor" or thief who infiltrates people's dreams and steals their ideas. But when he's offered the opportunity to erase his criminal record, he finds himself attempting something even more dangerous: planting a new idea into a target's subconscious.
3. ’Marion Bridge‘ (2002)
This touching Canadian drama was actually Page's first ever performance in a feature film. It centers on a recovering alcoholic who grapples with her traumatic past while reuniting with her ill mother and two siblings. Prepare to use some tissues.
4. ‘Whip it’ (2009)
Drew Barrymore's directorial debut is a coming of age gem, filled with energy, laughs and so much charm. Page plays a small-town Texas teen who develops a passion for roller derby and secretly joins a team. But keeping up with this proves to be a challenge when mom pushes for beauty pageants instead.
5. ‘Juno’ (2007)
It's the film that earned Page critical acclaim, and it's easy to see why. The actor plays 16-year-old Juno MacGuff, whose world is turned upside down after becoming pregnant with a best friend's baby. The film won an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay and earned three additional nominations, including Best Picture and Best Actress for Page.
6. ‘X-Men: The Last Stand’ (2006)
Fun fact: Page initially declined this role because he wasn't keen on doing major Hollywood films at the time. But after the director begged him to read the script, he accepted what became one of his most memorable roles to date. In the action-packed film, which is based on the X-Men comic books, Page stars as Kitty Pryde, a mutant who can disappear and phase through matter.
7. ’X-Men: Days of Future Past‘ (2014)
Page's performance in The Last Stand was so impressive that Bryan Singer, the director of the fourth installment, decided to bring him back as Kitty. Only this time around, he got even more screen time and the added ability to send people's consciousnesses into the past. Talk about impressive.
8. ‘Super’ (2011)
The Office star Rainn Wilson plays Frank Darbo, a cook who decides to become a masked superhero named the "Crimson Bolt," despite not having any powers. Meanwhile, a store clerk named Libby becomes his unhinged sidekick, "Boltie," and the two make for a rather interesting team. Several moments will make you raise an eyebrow, but the fact that it's so twisted makes it all the more intriguing.
9. ‘My Days of Mercy’ (2017)
Up for a queer romance that will give you all the feels? Meet the critically acclaimed romantic drama, My Days of Mercy. The movie chronicles Lucy's (Page) budding romance with Mercy (Kate Mara), even though they have opposing political beliefs.
10. ’Tallulah‘ (2016)
Page is Tallulah, a homeless teenager who impulsively takes an irresponsible mother's baby and convinces an ex-boyfriend's mother to help raise the child. Of course, there's another twist...
