10 Dermatologists Driving Growth for Skin Care Brands on TikTok
Dermatologist-led content is winning.
Data from Traackr indicates dermatologists are among the top creators for social media’s biggest skin care brands, including CeraVe, La-Roche Posay and Olay.

CeraVe was the second-biggest skin care brand in 2023 in terms of Brand Vitality Score (VIT), which is Traackr’s proprietary metric measuring a brand’s social media impact, reach and trust. Three of the brand’s top five creators were dermatologists, while three of La-Roche Posay’s top five creators were also dermatologists, bolstering the brand’s rank as the sixth-largest in skin care by VIT last year.
“TikTok is a place for derms to offer education at scale through more entertaining formats — which sometimes means answering questions that audiences don’t even know they have,” said Holly Jackson, global professional services director, influencer strategy and measurement at Traackr. “There is still a huge opportunity for dermatologists to expand their content with the skinification of makeup and haircare sectors.”
Jenny Liu, who was the sixth fastest-growing dermatologist by VIT driven in 2023, was Olay’s fourth-ranked influencer and CeraVe’s 10th-highest VIT earner. Olay was the number-one skin care brand by VIT for the year.
Andrea Suarez was Neutrogena’s third-ranked influencer in skin care content in 2023, and so far in 2024 Shereene Idriss, who helms her own skin care brand called Dr. Idriss Skincare, has driven more VIT through skin care content than any other dermatologist.
