Crossing Delancey
Autumn simply much more special in New York, according to Billie Holiday and myself. The film follows Isabelle Grossman, a young New York woman who works in a bookstore and longs for a more glamorous life, but her Jewish grandmother only wants her to get married and settle down. She's eventually fixed up with the owner of a local pickle shop. At first she closes her mind to him, but after getting to know him better, the two spark up a romance. Enjoy the fall scenery in this warm, sweet story about family, love, and finding what you didn’t know you were looking for.—S.H.
